Like so many he touched, my heart is heavy today with news that my dear friend for over 30 years, Jack Cameron White passed away, after his long battle with cancer. Those who know Jack, knew him to be truly one of the good ones. He was my dear friend...we collaborated for many years on very creative things and shared amazing times together. A great drummer, photographer and a true friend. Here's some photos of some of the good times with our drumming brothers...hangs we loved so much. Jack took this photo of me with Joe Porcaro, Emil Richard, Jim Keltner and Jeff Porcaro...it was actually the last photo taken of all of us with Jeff, before we lost him, way too soon. Jack also left us way too soon. He fought so hard. So bravely. My heart goes out to Katey, Jackson and Sarah today. I will miss my dear friend always...I'll miss his smile, his big bear hugs and his warm spirit. He loved life so much. He lived it fully. Love you, Jack.

After over 35 years in this business, I still remain extremely thankful for the people I get the privilege to work with. These 3 guys are probably my 3 main influences as a percussionist. All just amazing talents and equally amazing humans. Last year, I became the Artist Relations Manager for Native Tongue Percussion (check this company's cool instruments out!) and just recently, I signed all 3 of these guys to NTP's artist roster. Last week, NTP's owner/creator Mike Lenz came out to LA and we had a great week, turning these guys onto the products. New videos coming soon.
