Our Story: In January 1988, All I had was two credit cards and a prayer to try and start a company called Holloway Productions. I was working for another company for $18.00 an hour with union benefits. It was a great job but then I got a great idea to start a rehearsal studio. Everyone thought I was crazy to give up my job for one rehearsal room starting at $5.00 an hour but I had a dream. The love of playing and performing gave me a rush and I thought if I can only do something in this field it would be great. Being a musician myself, there was a lack of good places to rehearse. The ones that were available for the most part were seedy, far away and expensive. At that time, the rooms were $25.00 an hour for a 10 x 10 space. barely worked and we had to pay for mics. The walls were so thin you thought the other bands were in the same room. A great man once told me (my dad) “Whatever you do in life, do something you love.” Having your own business has its ups and downs, its growing pains and fun, but looking back I don’t regret a day because I am doing something I love. I’d like to give special thanks to those living and who have passed, that have helped me through the years, Mom and Dad, Trudy, my daughter Valerie, all of my family, Abram Rendel, Virgie C. Priest, Dolan Ellis, Zvi Rendel, Bella, Monique Aguirre, all my supportive friends, employees and to the owner of the rehearsal studios I met one night whose name I didn’t even know. Most important of all I’d like to give deep appreciation to my dedicated and loyal customers. God Bless You All, Edward Holloway Cabral
