Great news--Canada orders are now shipping!

The US Post Office has started to accept packages going to Canada today. We have about twenty ElfQuest Covers packages for our Kickstarter backers and roughly another twenty online store orders to mail this week. These forty people have been incredibly patient and understanding. Thanks! Tracking numbers will be sent through email over the next couple of days.

Here are the last two cart loads of Flesk orders of 2024! This batch of nearly 200 packages are heading off to book shelves all over the country.

This has been a very positive year for us, and we have all of you to thank for it.

After I've had a chance to settle down and decompress, I look forward to writing a detailed year in review with all of the highlights.

The Arthur Adams Preliminary Studies book is here!

Arthur visited our Flesk office in Santa Cruz and signed the books for those who placed pre-orders. We're working hard to finish packing the 800+ orders.

We dropped off 300 packages at the Post Office on Friday. Another 400 will go out tomorrow, on Monday. Thank you so much to everyone who made our latest release a success. This is a great way to wrap up 2024!

Some eagle-eyed people noticed that we added a dozen more books to the Personal Stock section on our Flesk website. These are the latest three books to sell. We put up the big Gibson book for only $5 since it has been well-loved over the years. As we find time, we'll continue to post more old books for sale.

We're excited to bring Tran's previous book, Ambedo, back in print in 2025. This will be released alongside Spectres, the new book collecting her studies. There's a lot to look forward to next year!

Notes from the Shadowed City Expanded Edition by Jeffrey Alan Love is coming in early 2025!

We originally published this book in September 2016 and have sold through two printings. With this new printing, we wanted to do something special to celebrate its popularity. We have added a bonus section with commentary and sketches about how this book was created. This new printing will be released alongside the Jeff's new graphic novel, The Last Battle at the End of the World. We will launch a Kickstarter event in early 2025. Stay tuned for more details!

You see a lot of posts about our business, but what you don't see as often is our time bathing in nature. We didn't have to go far to see this coyote outside of our place in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Coyote, fox, deer, turkey, a variety of birds, lizards, frogs, snakes, scorpions, and scores of local flora all live in our shared communal space. It's quiet and peaceful up here.

What a day!

Yesterday we launched the pre-order event for Arthur Adams Preliminary Studies book on our Flesk website. We had 409 hardcovers and 108 paperback copies reserved on the first day. We printed 1000 of the hardcover with jacket.

At one point our website was hung up a little bit from all of the traffic!

The pictures along with this post show the hardcover with and without the jacket. Vicky designed this cover. Great job Vicky!
A few people overseas asked if we are offering this book through our distributor. The reason for this question is understandable. Shipping outside of the U.S. is crazy expensive!

At the moment I haven't made a decision about if we will make this book available to our distributor or not. (They are the ones who get the books into the stores worldwide.) If it does well for us direct and at events, and it looks like something that people will want in the broader market, we will offer it.

It's a bit of an experimental book. We're not too sure how many people want a book of preliminaries? The answers will come to me over the next few months. I know this isn't an answer, but it explains my thinking process.

We are very excited to announce that our new Arthur Adams Preliminary Studies book is now available for pre-order! As you all know, we are big fans of Arthur’s work. We started working on this book a few years ago and are thrilled to have it done, printed, and on its way to our Flesk warehouse.

Who has the best signature in the business? We would nominate Mark Schultz as a contender! Here we have Schultz signing comics at Heroes Con last month.

Here it is, the first look a the actual Art of Rachel and Terry Dodson book! This collection has been printed and we were able to get a copy into Rachel and Terry's hands. They will be bringing an advance copy with them to Emerald City Comic Con for people to see in person at their artist alley table. This book is right on schedule to be shipped to all of you in May. There's just one week left to pledge to our Kickstarter campaign. All book backers receive a bonus set that includes a signed print, stickers, and bookmarks. We hope everyone who is going to ECCC has a wonderful time!
