For those wondering, hey what happened to Epiphany's Instagram???
I'm still here! Only now I'm a business owner and a parent! Posting and keeping up with social media has not been a big priority lately due to the excess of joy around having a new life to care for.

The next year (or several) will bring a lot of big moments and I'm so excited to be sharing the joy of music with my baby, who is already bumping and dancing. So come get in on the excitement and book some studio time!

In progress: first full length album recording for our space! It's a marathon, not a sprint. There is a lot to be said for open communication and prepping with your artist before the session.

Podcasters! What is your most valued piece of gear? Note: not most expensive, but I guess it could be both!

Sometimes all you need is a great sounding space and a microphone, but there is always that one piece of gear that we can't live without. I think mine is our silent boom arms, those have been pretty critical!

When Litton was in the studio earlier this month, our full day sessions were intense! It was just as important for us to get out of the studio to keep things flowing. Our daily walks down to the beach were restorative and exactly what we needed to focus once we got back. So grateful to be less than a mile to the ocean. 🌊

Welcome the newest member of the...
Epiphany Recording Studio instrument line up! I'm so thrilled to have this guitar from . As a lifelong lefty, I've felt isolated as a guitarist. I never had the experience of being able to just sit down and jam with other players because I don't play the same way they do. I could never share instruments and can't find anything to play in most guitar stores. This is my first right-handed guitar and I'm really excited to learn to play it and hope it will connect me with other guitarists. My creativity is already awakening!

When I was 20...
a friend and I noticed that there were no good videos on the internet to help us learn songs from our favorite band, . So we put together a YouTube channel called IncubusCoverProject to fill that gap and share our love of what we thought were the greatest guitar parts ever. We eventually developed quite a following and learned that our videos helped countless guitarists in their journey to learn along with us.

Today, my love of Incubus' music is alive and well, and I want to continue to share that love in modern times with a Livestream of a full album playthrough! This Friday at 6pm Pacific Time, I will be playing Incubus' 2001 album Morning View to celebrate it's 20th anniversary. Check the Epiphany Recording Studio website for the stream (link in bio). I have been working tirelessly (as my wife can attest) all spring and summer long, arguably for 2 decades, on an ode to my first favorite band, . This year, their album Morning View turns 20, and on the eve the 20th anniversary, this Friday October 22nd, I will be performing the album LIVE from front to back. The Livestream will be available on the studio website (link in bio), and donations can be made during the show, all proceeds going to the band's charity . I hope to see you there!

How's your inspiration??
Mine has been struggling. There's been a lot of hard things in the news, I had a COVID scare (negative, thank goodness), and I just haven't felt like making music.

I decided to pick up my bass the other day and it was really therapeutic. I didn't write anything new or make any recordings but it just felt good to pluck the strings for while.

I'm still here, even through bouts of broken inspiration, and I want to tell you to hang in there if yours isn't doing so well. You're a creative person, it'll come back to you.
