Heroic Dose Records releases Jim Rosenberg’s “Finding Joseph”on Dec. 15

SANTA CRUZ, CA (Dec. 15, 2023) – Heroic Dose Records will release “Finding Joseph”, an unforgettable single about the heartbreak of homelessness from Santa Cruz singer-songwriter Jim Rosenberg, at 5 p.m. PST on Friday, December 15. In the vein of John Prine, “Finding Joseph” is a tribute to those we lose to the streets. It’s a devastating, beautiful, quiet lament and indictment of us all.

The simultaneous releases of “Finding Joseph” and its official video are timed to bring awareness to the 25th Annual Santa Cruz County Homeless Memorial, which occurs the following week at 10 a.m. on Dec. 21, 2023 at the Santa Cruz Vets Hall. The names of the unhoused who died on the streets of Santa Cruz County will be read at the event.

Songwriter Jim Rosenberg released his first album, The Cold Hard Truth, in 2018 at the age of 61. He recorded his single “Finding Joseph” for Heroic Dose Records in the autumn of 2023. Hear more of Jim’s music at https://www.jimrosenbergmusic.com/.

“Finding Joseph” was produced by Jon Spivak (Heroic Dose Records) and Jim Rosenberg at the Heroic Dose Records studios on the Westside of Santa Cruz. The recording features Jim Rosenberg (guitar and vocals), Dylan Rose (lead guitar and background vocals), Alisha Ripatti (background vocals), Keith Wieland (percussion), Jocelyn Olson (keyboards), and Jon Spivak (bass). The video was shot at various locations around downtown Santa Cruz on November 18.

Heroic Dose Records is an independent record label based in Santa Cruz devoted to amplifying and distributing quality original music.
