D. Cunningham Bio: Raised in the woods and beaches of New England, Dylan Cunningham packed his van and headed west to pursue his calling. He ended up in Ventura County, and he has become a regular favorite with a full booking schedule at many venues across Ventura County and beyond. He plays a repertoire focused on his original heartfelt songwriting and Americana favorites, blending multiple genres and often adding a psychedelic tinge. He has the good fortune to collaborate with a cast of stellar musicians that make up his live band as he continues to explore his sound.

This Friday at in downtown SB!Join us for alternative night with .neighbor celebrating their EP release and the up and coming artist with the headlining slot. Music hits 10PM!

The Denim Emperor comes seething with a lust for bouncy riffs, hardcore dance grooves, and psychedelic sleaze. He lies on his couch drinking a riesling left in the fridge. He ponders whether to play the drums, his hands caked in blisters. He dictates to his biographer, continuing a diatribe wondering why they have not made a decent Wuthering Heights film questioning Emily Bronte’s ability to write good prose. He looks down at the floor noticing the large s**g rug is indeed two identical smaller rugs. Disturbed by this new reality, he questions his once familiar environment and whether he has the motivation to sit up and leave. TDE grew up in Burbank, CA most known for its exports of nepotism and opportunity. During his stay in the land of recognizable last names, he defeated Finneas O’Connell’s band The Slightlys in a battle of the bands twice, saw the inside of Dove Cameron’s apartment thrice, and blew off teaching Ableton to Phoebe Bridgers once. He fled to Ventura, California where he stands as a god among the twelve people he socializes with largely because of his talent for orchestration. His aggressive take no prisoners musical style counters the sensual tones of his friendly rival Drfun and excites his frequent collaborators. The hour is late and remaining wine has thickened forming a residue in the bottom of the glass. He must continue his craft for one more day. He would not like this bio. But he will never know what it says. He doesn’t care to read it.

Morganfield Burnett and his four-piece band are local legends in the Blues scene. Born in Texas in the 1940s, Burnett’s encounters with the brutal racial terrorism of the time set him on an unconventional and artistic path. His deep conviction that the love of money is the root of all evil resonates through his soulful harmonica and growling voice, making the Morganfield Burnett Blues Band a true local treasure
Katie Skene, a blues and Americana singer, guitarist, and songwriter based in Ventura, CA, blends her Southern roots with West Coast influences to create a unique sound. A University of Southern California alumna with a B.M. in Popular Music Performance, she has been active in the Jam-Band and Americana scene since 2015, collaborating with legendary artists. Her second EP, “Toward the Tide,” was released in May 2023, and she currently fronts the Katie Skene Band while also being part of California Kind and TV Broken 3rd Eye Open.
Stewart Forgey, inspired by the relationship between music and colors, creates vibrant music shaped by a broad spectrum of hues. A multi-instrumentalist and singer, he has played with bands like Pacific Range and Mapache, and holds a Film Scoring degree from Berklee College of Music, having scored 12 short films and one feature film. As a solo artist, Stewart blends his diverse project experiences and film scoring background to craft music with a visual and expansive quality.

This FRIDAY! No cover. Promoting and supporting electronic music and events in the 805 since 1998, Medium Enterprises AKA medium brings its own brand of multi-genre madness to Soul Bites this Friday. Embracing a wide spectrum of underground electronic music including dubstep, breaks, house, drum & bass and other forms of bass music, this merry band of misfits is widely known for the PACIFICA summer beach party series and as Sunday curators of the Solstice DJ Stage. The 805 is strong with this one.

As the 2024 music tour season draws near, we are now offering 10 hour day lockouts for $500 with 10% off while this promotion last. Bands and their team can spread out in our 2,000 sqft. facility, which includes the rehearsal studio, control room, dressing room and lounge area. This promo also includes a Midas M32 Console, Monitors, XLR, Shure Mic Package/Stands. Parking is no issue, with both gated parking and tour bus parking available. 10′ x 10′ roll up door for easy load-in.

Yamaha, Digico, and other consoles can also be available upon request for an additional cost
