I woke up to find out one of my musical mentors Quincy Delight Jones Jr. has transition on the orchestra in the heavens. I cried for a second because this one hits different. This man's music has been in my life since a baby and damn near all the R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop I l've listened to were influenced by this man directly or indirectly. Quincy thank you for not only inspiring me to love music, but to be as creative as possible in music. You and Michael are finally together again making music. One love to the original OG of sound and cool vibrations. REST IN POWER Quincy Delight Jones Jr.

This Labor Day Weekend 2024 Funk Fellas Radio has back to back nights at Progress On Main in El Monte.
Friday, August 30th is “Funky Fridays”. The real one and only one that makes it pop off at your favorite spot in El Monte.

Saturday, August 31st is “The Saturday Night Get Down” going one year strong at Progress On Main

Both nights are from 8pm to 1:30am. DJ Medina is in the mix both nights playing the best of:

When I came on facebook this morning I found out one of my friends in music passed on. Shawn Hook Harris was not only a dope producer and artist, but was a real one. Last night we lost part of Funk Fellas Radio Team and cousin to DJ Medina, Mandy Reyes aka 1Crayzee NDN from the show “Native Ennit”. We are still in shock and in disbelief. Mandy was a proud Native American (Akmiel O’Odham) and Chicana who served her communities. She resided in Oklahoma and had been part of the native community in that area. She helped those in need and was an advocate for native people. She was a small business owner, amazing cook, and radio/podcast host. She had her show on YouTube prior to it being on Funk Fellas Radio. She will always be remembered for her laugh and her sense of humor on her shows. She loved her family very much, especially her son and two daughters. We will miss her terribly. Our prayers go out to all of her family. We will miss you 1Crayzee NDN!!!
