This Memorial Day, we are so grateful for the brave men and women who have served our country. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. Today I’m also remembering our visit to Normandy, where we had the opportunity to pay our respects at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.

As the 2023 Old Glory Relay comes to a close, all of us a Paragon Media would like to say very special “Thank you” to Team Red, White & Blue for their commitment to enhancing the lives of America’s Veterans. This event has had a profound impact on our team. We have been blessed with the opportunity to spend time with many amazing Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. Watching them move a single American flag across the country by walking, rucking, running or biking has been an amazing experience and we have been moved by their strength, commitment and camaraderie. We have created a short compilation of some of our favorite moments over the years.

We loved this image from the 2023 Old Glory Relay. His reaction is the culmination of pushing through several miles of extreme uphill riding. That's the kind of spirit that makes Old Glory Relay so special. Over the past 50 days, Team RWB members have united to walk, ruck, run, and cycle a single American flag more than 4,000 miles from Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA.

Feeling so grateful to have spent the day with the incredible veterans of Team Red, White & Blue during the Old Glory Relay. Watching them carry the American flag through Southern California was truly inspiring. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a meaningful event.

One of our favorite things to photograph at Paragon Media is dance!

Over the years of photographing dancers, we have grown to appreciate their amazing athleticism, grace, and strength.

For this series, Backhausdance wanted a rich, saturated photoshoot for their website in order to achieve this dramatic look.

We used a mixture of continuous light from NANLITE and strobes from Profoto in our studio to create this striking effect. ⁠

We were thrilled to have a part 2 of our workshop day with Soka University students. Our team visited Soka's gorgeous campus and lead the editing session for our studio shoot with singer-song writer, Carmela. We discussed our editing process, taught them how to sync audio, explained multi-cam editing and allowed the students to give feedback on what takes they liked the best. ⁠

We couldn't be more proud of this student-led project! Our team loved being able to help the students take full control of the project from start to finish - and the results were awesome! ⁠

We loved hosting these talented film students from Soka University of America for a workshop day at our studio. ⁠
⁠
They had the opportunity to work with some of our team members to learn industry standard equipment. We wanted the students to have as much hands-on time with the equipment as possible so we had them rotate jobs to get the most out of their time at Paragon. ⁠
⁠
Once they gained confidence on our equipment, we surprised them with singer-songwriter and American Idol contestant, Carmela, would needed the students’ help creating a studio cover of her original song. ⁠

The Soka students showed us that creativity and hard work can achieve amazing results! We couldn’t be more impressed by their passion, talent, and curiosity for production. It is important to us to give back and inspire the next generation of film makers. ⁠

The Paragon Media team was honored to have shot this Christmas Special for the legendary Engelbert Humperdinck. He preforms a great Christmas selection of songs and I have to admit, despite being 84 years old he still has it! It's a fun show we shot at his home and a portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. The show has received great reviews from his fans and the cost is $15, available on demand through Dec. 26th. Ticket information is listed in his post below.

Upon the conclusion of the 2018 Old Glory Relay, we want to share our most sincere gratitude to Team Red, White & Blue, as well as to American Servicemen and women and their families across the nation. It was great spending time with all of the Team Red, White & Blue Eagles on the Old Glory Relay this year. We want you to know that our team was inspired by each and every one of you. Thank you to Microsoft and Microsoft Military Affairs for this amazing partnership and your relentless, continued support for the Veteran community and their families. As we sit down to celebrate Thanksgiving this year with our friends and loved ones we recognize the sacrifices that you have made.
