For the third time, the Dominican Republic brought its Roadshow to Orlando, Florida! Over 350 tour operators, travel agents, and representatives from major airlines gathered to explore the Caribbean nation’s breathtaking attractions. 🌊🏝️
Key media outlets were invited, including My Sanford Seminole Magazine, proudly represented by our founder and editor, Perla Bello-Crosby. At this important event, Perla spoke with Minister of Tourism David Collado about the need for ARAJET to operate flights to our area. Benny Crosby, a member of the Orlando Sanford International Airport board, also expressed to the Minister the importance of this connection for Central Florida.
Minister Collado showcased the Dominican Republic’s stunning beaches, rich culture, and renowned hospitality, sharing impressive tourism stats, including new daily flights from Orlando (MCO) to Punta Cana (PUJ) with Southwest Airlines. He also celebrated existing nonstop flights from JetBlue, Spirit, and Frontier, making this Caribbean paradise more accessible for Central Florida travelers.
Minister Collado remarked, “We are proud of our tourism growth, and we remain committed to creating jobs, generating foreign revenue, and strengthening our economy.”
This event, hosted on October 29th at the Four Seasons Orlando, is part of the Ministry of Tourism’s strategy to boost the Dominican Republic’s presence in the international market, fostering sustainable growth in the tourism sector.
