It's with a heavy heart that I share the news of
Lee Hildebrand's passing yesterday in Modesto, CA.

A distinguished author, journalist, and longtime
participant of KCSM's "Critic's Corner," Lee
was a wealth of knowledge about the Bay Area jazz scene,
R&B, Gospel, and the Oakland blues scene.

Here's a fine article by jazz scribe, Andy Gilbert about
Lee's legacy.

May he rest in peace.

Peace,
Chuy

SUNDAY 10PM! 'Juke in the Back' Jimmy Liggins didn't have the chart success or popularity of his older brother Joe Liggins, but he did have a killer band, a raw sound and quite possibly the "first rock n' roll record."
