The City of San Marcos will be accepting donations for its 2nd Annual Winter Heater Drive beginning November 1, 2023. Those who are interested in helping neighbors in need who do not have or cannot afford heating can purchase heaters through the SMTX Utilities Amazon wish list or make monetary donations through the online payment service called Stripes, sanmarcostx.gov/3994/About-Us.

Heaters will be accepted through November 30, 2023. San Marcos residents interested in receiving a free heater, are encouraged to reach out to The Salvation Army San Marcos at (512) 754-8541 to get on the wait list.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office has confirmed today that they do not want anyone to know what happened around 17:30 on Friday August 11th near the Circuit of the Americas.

They do not want you to know why they "detained" an 84 year old man or why they had 9 assault rifles pointed at him. Arrest or search warrants issued? Detentions or arrests? Any press release or statement? These simple questions will now have to wait for at least another 15 days for the Texas Attorney General's office to start to deliberate if you or I should know why. We The People deserve to know.

This man and his wife had phones confiscated, property damaged that they use for income at the market. This is not the America that they have loved and cherished.
