Hoping you had a very merry Christmas yesterday if you celebrated! Here is the playlist from last night’s Citizen Sound show. Just within the first hour, we opened with some grunge from Alice In Chains and Nirvana, transitioned into punk from French Vanilla and Television, and heard two songs from the Specials as a tribute to the great Terry Hall. Tune in next Sunday at 11 for a New Year’s Day show! Happy holidays!

Terry Hall and The Specials celebrated British diversity and culture through an infusion of Punk, Rockabilly and Jamaican Ska. Their era defining music highlighted political issues and championed a youth subculture that felt cast aside by the ruling classes.

Good afternoon! Here is the playlist for last night's Citizen Sound.

Within the first hour we enjoyed a new single from Death Cab for Cutie and an old favorite from Yo La Tengo; both bands are making a visit to the Central Coast this Wednesday, at the Santa Barbara Bowl! The second hour brought us 80s jams from Depeche Mode, Tom Tom Club, and more, plus modern favorites including TOY, Corridor, and Omni.

Be sure to tune in next Sunday night. We are switching it up, as Citizen Sound founder Shawn Hafley will be taking the reins and bringing you some wonderful alternative music!
