My daughter has been stood up by her Daddy for a daughter dance and this is the 2nd year. She broke down in tears as she really wanted to be there. I felt so terrible because there was nothing I could do because I am not a male (obviously). And then her big brother came in and said that he will take her because he wanted his little sister to know that one day, a man will actually keep her and make her feel special… y’all I literally cried… Just know that I am raising someone a GREAT HUSBAND one day.

“This Army soldier was on my delayed flight home yestrday to MS. He had to watch the birth of his daughter on FaceTime. He was crying and our hearts were breaking. We all gave him space. When we heard the baby cry, we all rejoiced for him. I wanted to share this becuse I never want us to forget about our soldiers who serve us everyday and the sacrifices they make.” 🪖🎖️🎖️🎖️

“In the grocery store, he screamed as he wanted out of the baby carrier that was on my chest, and instead he wanted his big sister.”
“She walked him up and down aisles, ever so patiently. I’m sure her arms were heavy, but she never complained once. He was in Heaven and didn’t move or make a peep as he snuggled closely against her.”
“These are the moments that make my tired, frustrated Mama heart just burst with joy and love.”
“I’ve learned this life is a total team effort.”
“Thankful for my team.”

I love this story ❤️
(I don’t think it matters to the story, but because many have been asking, the woman pulled over is black)
“I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said, "Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out." So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month. So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car. He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk. He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on. So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one. He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role and into mechanic role to make sure I was straight.

Today I decided to channel my inner teenager simply to annoy my 3 “young adults” who are home for the summer and who always leave a daily disaster in the kitchen. I’m so done with the self-absorbed mess.
So, I went to Sprouts this morning and bought lots of fruit and veggies, made a big chopped salad, and left all the groceries and mess on the counter for the WHOLE day to see what would happen.
I just went to my room, locked the door, and watched Netflix all afternoon just like they do. I giggled at the comments I’ve gotten so far:
“Mom—what happened?”
“The kitchen is a total mess, what did you do? Where are you?”
“Are you coming back to clean this? Why aren’t the groceries put away?”
I’ve opted to continue my game and not respond to texts, and now I’m tempted to keep ignoring them and go out for drinks with friends for the evening. Perhaps I’ll stay out so late they wonder if I’m dead in a ditch somewhere.
So. Many. Possibilities!
****edited to add: I also left a ton of my laundry piled on top of the dryer, and IN the dryer and IN the washing machine. All day. Because my son wanted to do his this morning, so he’s stuck waiting.

"On Mother's Day this year, my little family and I went to IHOP for breakfast! While pulling in we saw a man sitting on the side of the road, holding a sign. Everyone passing by and not paying him any mind at all. We stop and give him a few dollars and talk to him for a minute. He said, 'I appreciate the money but I'd really like a job. All I have is my bike to ride but I'll do what I have to do for work. I've had some hard times fall on my shoulders and it's really gotten me down and out.'
We spent a good hour talking with him. My husband works for PGT, a glass company here in southwest Florida. We gave him all the information he needed, people to talk to and our phone number. The very next morning, who does Tyler see, the gentleman himself! He rode his bike 30 miles to get to PGT. 30 miles!! Tyler takes him upfront, introduced him to the right people, and he filled out an application! I'm here to tell y'all that this man is now employed and working as hard as he can at PGT. Tyler took him and bought him the necessities for work. Helping him be the best he can be. I'm very fortunate to have a man in my life that is so selfless. He sees things in others that they can't see at that moment or probably have never seen. The gentleman he helped was down on his luck but with a little support, he's up and running again! We try to teach our children never to judge a book by its cover. Always be kind. This is a true example of it. You never know how one conversation, one kind gesture can change someone's life for the better! Be kind, Always." ❤️

"While driving down Spring Street in East Bridgewater, I noticed 12-15 full white trash bags lined up along both sides of the road. Eventually I noticed a young man, probably in his mid twenties, with his bucket in hand, picking up trash. I slowly drove past him, but only for a half mile, as I was eventually compelled to turn my car around and ask him, 'Whatcha doing?' He smiled at me with kind eyes and said, 'picking up the trash.'
'Just because you want to?' I said.
'Well I live right around the corner, I like to fish in this area and there's trash everywhere. There are no houses on this section of the road, so nobody cleans it up.' I told him how great I thought he was for spending his own money on trash bags and his entire Saturday afternoon cleaning up our neighborhood, as I only live about a mile away. I told him I couldnt wait to tell my Daisy girl scout troop about him and the good work he was doing. I thanked him again, asked for his name and for permission to take his picture, and then said goodbye.
His name is Scott Quimby, and he lives in East Bridgewater. He was not doing community service, he simply cared enough to do something about the litter that lines our streets and neighborhoods. With Earth Day right aound the corner, let's keep Scott's story with us. Next time you see a peice of trash on the road, pick it up. Let the last cigarette butt you threw out the car window, be the last. If you don't take the time to recycle, reconsider. Encourage the company you work for to do the same."

"I felt the need to share this with all of you, and perhaps make this man go viral. Last week I got an iced coffee at Dunkin donuts around 7:30am, later on that day I saw the same man walking but was unable to pick him up or I would have been late for work myself. Little did I know, he was walking 8 1/2 miles to his second full time job at the Big Apple for his Graveyard shift. I stopped at the Big Apple on my way home from work around 10:45pm to see if he could use a lift home while I grabbed gas, but he politely declined stating he worked another 3+ hours closing.
The moral of the story is this, if you are an able bodied person, there is a job out there for you. No matter what the job may be. This man walks 16 miles every day between both his jobs, making minimum wage at both. Minimum wage in New Hampshire is $7.25/hr. This man shows that if you are motivated, ambitious, and WILLING to work, it IS possible."

Face Of Humanity....
A man wanting to jump off a bridge in London was talked down by absolute strangers who proceeded to hold him for an hour until help arrived to get him down safely. Look at that grip. Look at the care, compassion, selflessness, and determination shown by complete strangers to a hurting human being.
We need more of this in the world.

"Today on Finnair we had a mother on board traveling with four little boys. Two of the boys were just babies. Naturally one cannot travel with two babies on a lap, so we had to solve the dilemma of a missing lap, otherwise it would have been a no go for mom and the kids. Luckily, we had our positioning crew on board and the wonderful pilot Tom took the task of being the extra-lap."

If you could please include my 13-year-old daughter in your prayers and fasting today, I would so appreciate it. She's been fighting leukemia for 2 years, but it keeps relapsing. She is having a bone marrow test on Tuesday that is a very big deal. Please pray that she is 100% in remission.

When young Alex Ruiz, a server at the Cinco De Mayo Mexican Grill in Douglasville, Georgia overheard a diner
asking a fellow customer for help, he turned to see what the problem was only to realize that the diner seeking help
had no arms. Without thinking twice, Alex walked up to the man, asked him if he could help him and sat across the
table from him.
Oblivious to the gaze of fellow waiters and customers, Alex patiently sat with a smile on his face for half an hour and
fed the diner, never getting up once during the meal and allowing the man to enjoy this rare comfort.

"Nick and I told Sophia that after 1 whole month of going p**p on the potty, she could pick out a special prize. She, of course, picked a new doll. The obsession is real. While we were checking out, the cashier asked Sophia if she was going to a birthday party. We both gave her a blank stare. She then pointed to the doll and asked Sophia if she picked her out for a friend. Sophia continued to stare blankly and I let the cashier know that she was a prize for Sophia being fully potty trained. The woman gave me a puzzled look and turned to Sophia and asked, 'Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?' Sophia finally found her voice and said, 'Yes, please!' The cashier replied, 'But she doesn't look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you.' I immediately became angry, but before I could say anything, Sophia responded with, 'Yes, she does. She's a doctor like I'm a doctor. And I'm a pretty girl and she's a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?' Thankfully the cashier decided to drop the issue and just answer, 'Oh, that's nice.' This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren't born with the idea that color matters. Skin comes in different colors just like hair and eyes and every shade is beautiful."

I got my dog when I was just 19 years old and a single mother of 1.
I kept my dog.
I kept my dog even though I moved into an apartmnt and had to pay a $500 pet fee.
I kept my dog when my boyfriend and I broke up and he kept the apartment even though my new place didn't allow dogs.
I kept my dog when I ultimatly had to move back in with my parents and she also was not allowed there.
I kept my dog when I had my second child. I kept my dog when his father put all of us through hell and none of us had anywhere to go.
I kept my dog when I had a penny to my name and we all ate nothing but buttered noodles for dinner.
Ten years later I STILL have my dog because she is the very start of the huge family that we now have.
Even though she's getting slow, eating less and turnng grey I STILL HAVE MY DOG. I'm tired of hearing and reading about posts that say "getting rid of them because they don't like my new puppy" or "I want a new dog".
Commitment is commitment.

Last Kiss ❤ I'll never forget the day my Mom called me in a panic "Janna, you've got to convince your daddy to get rid of that horse, it's gonna kill him!".
Major (AKA "Major Deal" as mama named him) was a young and vicious stallion when dad bought him. He "couldn't be broke".
The men who owned him previously had used a technique to break horses that involved beatings and tying his head tightly between two posts where they left him standing without food or water for 4 weeks.
Major stood strong. When dad brought him home, he barreled through five strands of fence within minutes of arriving and he'd Bite and strike at anyone within distance.
My dad never broke him.... he earned his heart. Every single day, for hours and hours dad, worked to earn that abused horse's trust. Love won and after two full years, Major allowed my dad to ride him.
When dad would go out, Major would kiss him on the head over and over. They had a bond that only horse people could ever understand. It seemed only fitting to let Major say goodbye. This is Major's last kiss

“Pretty cool story I want to share. Last weekend at Silver Dollar City I had the privilege of meeting Caleb, a 2.5 year old boy who was born without his left hand. I, too, was born without a hand and I recently wrote a kid's book about a cartoon airplane with one wing shorter than the other. Caleb owns my book and told me it's his favorite book!
In a crowd of that many people we just happened to be climbing through the tree house together. I love life’s little coincidences!”

Earlier this evening an 84-year-old woman called the station stating that she needed help with the installation of her AC's. She stated that it was extremely hot inside her house and that she attempted to get someone to install them for her but had negative results.
Due to her distress and the current temp 85 and the upcoming temps in the high 80's. Sgt Spetelunas offered to assist her and her husband. Sgt Spetelunas enlisted the aid of officer Borsari and installed one window AC.
While on scene several neighbors observed the officers and offered to install the two other window AC's for the woman and her husband. Proving once again that kindness is contagious.
