What I’ve noticed is that a lot of Filipinos has issues with my Mom adding sugar to her dishes on our recipe videos. People act like na sinful and unhealthy yung sugar, as if hindi baboy at bagoong yung dish. Where do we draw the line where we just let people do what they want if they enjoy something that doesn’t affect anyone else’s lives but that person? Can’t we also just enjoy con

tent without analyzing it too much? Live and let live. Usually the bashers ayaw lang makakita ng masaya at nagluluto at mataba at the same time. Basically, you can only do food content if you look a certain way. This is the internet and we should be able to create fun content without constant backlash that’s not even justified. I think it’s important to ignore random and unnecessary hate, but to also address it once in a while so that people know it’s not normal to bash people you don’t personally know especially if they’re not doing anything to spread negativity. Sometimes the more you ignore, the more people see it as permission to keep spreading hateful messages to anyone. Not everyone has the ability to take them like us, some people break.
