✍️ In the upcoming weeks, I plan to write and express to the best of my abilities a story that, as shocking as it may be, didn’t make it to big boys news. Please tune in and share with your friends.
Dictators violate human rights for a variety of reasons, but mostly to consolidate their power, maintain control over their population, and suppress opposition or dissent. By limiting freedom of speech, assembly, and association, dictators can prevent the formation of opposition groups that might challenge their authority. They also often use violence and intimidation to suppress dissent, including torture and extrajudicial killings.
Dictators may also violate human rights for economic gain, such as by exploiting natural resources or forcing people into forced labor. In some cases, they may do so out of a belief that certain groups are inferior or a threat to their regime, leading to discrimination, persecution, and even genocide.
Overall, dictators violate human rights because they are able to do so without fear of consequences or accountability. They operate outside the rule of law and are able to use their power to impose their will on the population simple because to some extent, they are the law.
In Kabylia, these violations have been common practice, especially with the French Media willing to conspire or obey orders, the Kabyle diaspora in France, which the bedrock and voice of the resistance, finds itself yet again powerless against what I would describe as a clay footed giant that is the Algerian system.
Kabylia, Mediterranean Northern Africa, has long been a center of resistance against the Algerian government. There are several factors that make Kabylia particularly vulnerable to Algerian dictatorship, including:
1. Cultural identity: Kabylia has a distinct cultural identity and language, which was met with complete and utter rejection by the Algerian state. The Kabyle people have long fought for recognition and autonomy within Algeria, which has often been met with repression.
2. Geographical location: Kabylia is a mountainous region, which has historically made it difficult for the central government to exert control over the area. This and many other factors have allowed for the emergence of a strong sense of local identity and resistance to outside authority.
3. Economic marginalization: Despite the country being rich in natural resources, Kabylia has long been neglected by the Algerian government, leading to economic marginalization which in turn led to massive immigration which, fortunately, has prevented the almost inevitable destiny of poverty. This has fueled discontent and frustration with the central government, making Kabylia a hotbed of resistance.
4. History of political activism: Kabylia has a long history of political activism and resistance, dating back to the Ottoman Empire which was met by an organized resistance, to the anti-colonial struggle against French rule. This tradition of resistance has continued into the present day, with the region being a center of opposition to the Algerian government and a stronghold for pro-democracy and human rights activists.
Overall, these factors make Kabylia a particularly vulnerable target for Algerian dictatorship, as the region has a strong sense of identity, a history of resistance, and a deep-seated frustration with the central government.
Which brings us to current events. With so much going on, I’ve decided to pick one story that caught everyone’s attention. Frawsen, an activist of the well-known MAK (Mouvement for the self-determination of Kabylia) was assassinated in Paris,France and his lifeless body thrown into the river Seine.
As you may have predicted, misinformation is being spread about Frawsen's death, and those spreading it have the experience and the ressources to do so. I consider it of the highest importance to counter this attack on his memory in a way that is respectful and accurate. In the upcoming weeks, I plan on leveraging my own ressources to evaluate the situation and hear from everyone that has something of value to say.
I plan to:
1. Provide accurate information: Share accurate and verifiable information about Frawsen's death, including any available evidence or official reports. This will counter all the false and misleading information that is being spread.
2. Use credible sources: When sharing information about Frawsen's death, I will only use credible sources such as reputable news outlets with names and dates, official reports and names witnesses.
3. Highlight his achievements and legacy: Rather than focusing solely on his death, I find it important to highlight Frawsen's achievements and legacy. Share information about his life, his work, and his impact on his community or society as a whole. This will help shift the focus away from the misinformation being spread and onto Frawsen's causes and contributions.
4. Advocate for justice: If foul play is suspected in Frawsen's death (which is the case), advocate for a thorough and transparent investigation to determine the cause of death and hold those responsible accountable. This can help to ensure that justice is served and can provide closure for Frawsen's loved ones.
I strongly believe that remaining impartial when fighting for a just cause is important for several reasons. When you show bias or favoritism, it can undermine your cause and make it more difficult to achieve your goals. This can also create divisions and conflict within your own movement or among supporters of your cause. By remaining impartial, you can build credibility and legitimacy for your cause, promote fairness and equality, avoid division, and uphold the rule of law. Overall, remaining impartial helps to ensure that your actions and arguments are viewed as fair and objective, which can help to build support and credibility for your cause. I call everyone involved, close or far, to remain impartial and stick to the facts and never fall in the bottomless pit of biased opinions and judgment with feelings.
Ar tufat.
