We first heard this piece when put their phone up to a mic at the 61st house and played a recording of Mountain Peanut reading it. We instantly fell in love and now we can’t wait to share it with you freaks.

GIVING ONE’S SELF TO THE PEOPLE.” is attributed to the NPAA (Nagkakaisang Progresibong Artista-Arkitekto, or United Progresive Artists and Architects) while the red book in the liberated Cupid’s arm is the highly influential text “Lipunan at Rebolusyong Pilipino” (Philippine Society and Revolution) by Jose Maria Sison the Filipino writer and activist known as “Joma” who founded the Communist Party of the Philippines and passed in December of 2022.

From Ali: Considering creative powerhouse Max Nordile wanted to come down from Olympia to play a solo sax “art skronk “ set, we decided to keep the acoustic theme and take it outdoors to a curious location with plenty of folklore.
Other acts include a reading, a “bit”, dilettantes in a wind trio, and not one but TWO solo percussionists. Group improvisation likely to follow. Saturday, January 7th, 3pm. Free, but donations are highly encouraged.
