Glad to attend San Diego Comic Fest 2022. My first event in a long time since the pandemic. Now that everything is opening up for now. It is refreshing to see wonderful artists, amazing storytellers, and industry professionals. Don’t get me wrong I love San Diego comicon but honestly this is where I belong… A Convention The Focus on Comics, Stories, Manga and graphic novels. BTW, this is my late late birthday present to me. Going to comic conventions like this makes me happy.

Attended Guillermo Proano’s memorial service in Los Angeles/Hollywood, CA. … he was a true photography rockstar. There will never be a media photographer like him. He can turn an ordinary person into a star what does photography. I would like to thank Samira Kazemeni for inviting me to the service … and I have met some new people in the industry as well as some old faces I haven’t seen in a long time… this was an honorable service… #

Every time I go to these red carpet events Or private parties in Los Angeles. I always see Guillermo Proano . Long story short I met at a red carpet event in 2011. That was 10 years ago. We complement each other and collaborated whenever we go to red carpet events or photo shoots that was back in 2012 to 2013. The last time I saw Guillermo was last year of 2020 at Samira Kazemeni Oscar Party, when I returned doing photography/videography/vlogging. Guillermo is one of a kind and always gets the best shots of celebrities and in red carpet. Now with his recent passing, I managed to dig through my old photos that I shot as a photographer/videographer in LA at the time. His photos will be remembered and will be honored. Rest Easy Guillermo Proano.

PART 2 of 2…Here are samples of storyboards and sketches that I have drawn to get a visual of what underground society going to be. I have taken a few pages of the script and draw the action sequence of the good guys versus the bad guys. Yes they were hand drawn by me. BTW, I’m not really good at drawing but I do have a visualization of what the movie could’ve been… my idea of underground society it was Scarface meets the fast and the furious. I will bring a whole new generation of action fans as well as visual and creative storytelling. With a lot of action sequence and characters the budget exceeded so I had to figure out how to Cut the budget and cut out fewer characters… The project needed time to get the story right and to find the right team to make this happen. If all else fails we were going sell it to the studios And get a paycheck for some one to buy it… Now with the age of streaming and fewer movie theaters. And the golden age of television. Anything is possible. However, My writing partner want to be old school And do things his way. After several Fights and arguments with him, we ended our friendship and partnership on bad terms. We will never know what underground society movie could’ve been… now I present you the storyboard visuals of an underground society action sequence…

Just discovered an old film proposal package that I developed myself. My former creative partner turned enemy or working on the small project. We hired a bunch of guys to help out to turn the short film into a feature film until they backed out and got cold feet. It was called underground society: “An ordinary businessman turn to a life of crime when his loved ones are killed.” It was a mix between Martin Scorsese gangster films and John Woo’s Hong Kong Action Films. This had a male Asian lead. Made in 2011. 10 years ago. After years of trying to get into the screen, and multiple rejections. It ended up becoming a novel. The problem with my writing partner at the time that he was a self-centered control freak and wants to do things his way. He did things behind my back. He tried to buy me out of the project but I worked long and hard to get the story right and make it a good movie. there was too many egos and pride and a lot of creative and artistic differences. Right now the version of underground society is available on Amazon… What I have right now is the EPK movie package with a promo script, the feature film script, mission statement, artwork cover… The artwork is done by a former friend. ADVICE: if you ever work with a riding partner or a creative partner. Make sure you have the same page make sure you compromise and have a plan. Also communicate with each other. Also learn how to budget… Live and Learn… With the popular John Wick series out. Underground society is what John Wick should’ve been. Will underground society ever be made into a feature film or TV show. Highly doubt it because the rights to it is tied up between me and my former business partner. We share 50-50 and we cannot come to an agreement… as a result I’m currently making my own version of underground society and rebrand it. Currently in development…
