All 3 copters are out of Montgomery Field in Kearny Mesa and there is 24/7 coverage of one flight crew (during fire season 2 flight crew coverage)
(First video of 2) Pretty cool seeing the demonstration showcasing the latest edition to the San Diego Fire-Rescue air fleet “copter3” This Sikorsky Firehawk Blackhawk copter has the ability to drop 1,000 gallons (compared to copters 1 & 2 each with 350 gallon capacity) here is a simulated water drop of say over a grassy field area fire.
