The FNX TV team is feeling Honored and Empowered: We humbly share this opportunity to  announce that ": Riding for the Missing" has been nominated for an Emmy Award! 🧡🖤

▪️The Native Hope Champions series shines a light on Indigenous athletes who leverage their influence to champion important causes within their communities.

▪️"Riding for the Missing" specifically focuses on Indigenous women rodeo athletes and their efforts to bring awareness to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit, and Transgender people (MMIWG2T) crisis.

▪️The documentary short film was filmed at the 2022 Indian National Finals Rodeo () in the heart of our community actively raising awareness about this ongoing crisis.  These rodeo riders are champions not just on horseback, but in their unwavering fight for their sisters, mothers, daughters, and friends by using their platforms to raise awareness.

This nomination is a huge win, not just for , but for the entire team behind the documentary, including the courageous individuals who shared their stories, and for their incredible support. We also want to recognize the tireless efforts of

🧡"Rest in Power 🤎🪶

On Monday, April 8th, wear your braids. Show your braids. Indigenous or not, wear a braid, wear 2, wear many. We wear braids as a community for Cole Brings Plenty and his family. For all Indigenous peoples with braids. For the many, past and present, whose braids were cut and attacked. If you don’t have hair to braid, share others posts or this post on Monday. Tag

Our hair is sacred. Braids are sacred. Connects us to our ancestors, to community, to ceremony.

Cole Brings Plenty, 27, Lakota, actor (Yellowstone spinoff 1923, and more), family member, and student, was taken from Unči Maka 🌎 too soon. An Indigenous relative was taken.

Join Rising Hearts on Monday as we honor Cole’s life by braiding our hair in his memory, for all the sacred hair and braids in our communities. Lay some to***co down. Send up your prayers.

We send our love and support to the Brings Plenty family and his communities. This is a tragic and heartbreaking loss. Justice for Cole. 🤎🪶

FNXTV: Standing Strong with Survivors at the 2nd Annual MMIP Summit & Day of Action

FNXTV, in partnership with Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, proudly joined the Yurok Tribe and Wilton Rancheria this week for the powerful 2nd Annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP) Summit & Day of Action in Sacramento.

Day 1: Summit for Solutions
On Monday, tribal leaders, survivors, advocates, lawmakers, and partners gathered at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center for a day of crucial dialogue. The summit aimed to amplify the voices of California's MMIP families and create a roadmap for action. For too long, these injustices have remained invisible. This summit was a turning point, putting MMIP front and center and demanding change.

Day 2: Day of Action at the Capitol
Tuesday's Day of Action began with a moving press conference featuring a cultural exchange that resonated across tribal communities. Powerful keynote addresses from tribal leaders, legislators, families, and survivors echoed through the West Steps of the Capitol, demanding accountability and urgent action. The day culminated in a symbolic walk around the Capitol, a visual representation of the collective strength and unwavering commitment to securing justice for MMIP victims and their loved ones.

Tribal Leaders Take Action

Throughout the Day of Action, tribal leaders actively engaged with state legislators, urging them to prioritize MMIP legislation and policies. This direct advocacy is crucial in ensuring that the voices of those most impacted are heard and reflected in concrete.Field reporter:

From artist and designer:
"INCOMPARABLE Native America’s 🌟 I’m honored and grateful to have this amazing actor wear my earrings lately. Honestly, I don’t know how to really feel about it except thankful to the stylists out there who are paying attention to the work of artists and designers like myself and many of my contemporaries and colleagues. There’s a saying going around lately, “It’s a Good Day To Be Indigenous” but I think it ALWAYS has been and we’re finally getting the real recognition that’s owed. It’s the hard work of land/water defenders, our educated relatives who study the enemy, our elders who MADE us do things we didn’t understand at the time, and our youth who question the way things are. It’s relatives like Lily who break through and prove to us and the 🌎 that ANYONE of us can do it too! ✊🏽💪🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽

Sugarloaf Mountain is back in the hands of the Tonkawa Tribe, and it's not just a win for them - it's a giant leap for Texas history! ⛰️

This sacred site, once stolen, is now being reclaimed, becoming a symbol of a larger movement: Texas tribes rising up to reclaim their rightful place in Texas state's narrative.

This isn't just about one mountain - it's about recognizing the past, honoring the present, and shaping a future where every voice is heard, every culture respected.

From the article: "The purchase of the land for a historical park is part of a larger movement, especially among Texas tribes that were expelled — or nearly exterminated — during the 19th century, to reclaim their legacies here"
