ATTENTION FUTURE 2025 NAYC ATHLETES!!
First DEADLINE APPROACHING MARCH 11, 2025.
It is time to get the ball rolling if you want this opportunity!!! It is an AMAZING team experience at the highest youth level! However, it requires much preparation including fundraising, paperwork, qualifying, fundraising, and more paperwork!
If you are interested in qualifying for NAYC 2025, you can contact your regional coordinator ([email protected] or Circle 3 Dressage and Horsemanship at Forreal Farm) and let me know if you are interested.
Are you ready? Read the Selection Procedures (https://www.usef.org/compete/disciplines/dressage/dressage-championships---national--fei/north-american-youth-championships)! The Juniors and Young Riders need a minimum of two FEI Team scores and two FEI Individual scores in their division. These scores are averaged and must be at least 64.000%. If they have more than two scores, the lowest will be dropped. They are also required to have one Freestyle score that is at least 65.000% (not included in the average). The new Children’s division must have a minimum of two FEI Team and two Individual tests with a minimum average score of at least 62.000%. They are also required a Children’s FEI Preliminary B test with a minimum score of 62.000%. The FEI Children Preliminary B test can be done as “Test of Choice” with a singular judge and only one score above 62.000% is required.
Aside from the Children's Prelim B test, registering for the test in the “Test of Choice” division will NOT count towards FEI Qualifying scores. You may purposely ride Test of Choice to see how you are scoring before you commit if you would like. Qualifying scores obtained in CDIs will not be counted unless submitted by the athlete. Qualifying scores obtained at qualifying competitions under two judges are automatically incorporated into your average.
You are competition-ready!....check Safe Sport requirements, membership and passport requirements, and verify age requirements for each division. Your age is the age you turn during the year. If you turn 18 on December 20, 2025, you ride as an 18 year old. If you turn 18 on January 2, 2025, you ride as an 18 year old.
PLAN YOUR COMPETITION CALENDAR! The qualification period ends June 16, 2025. I can gladly review your competition plans. You may compete out of region. When you apply for NAYC, you will file a Certificate of Domicile within five (5) days of applying. This Certificate of Domicile determines which Region you will REPRESENT at NAYC. You may qualify anywhere.
