I remember coming up with the idea to do this album with Spice 1 after we did Sway In The Morning and several other major media outlets during my first New York Press Run with the Outlawz in June of 2017. I wanted to co-produce this whole Spice 1 album with Ace 1, Executive Produce the project myself, finance the project myself, and distribute the project myself. Today, I’m happy to say I have accomplished all of those things and here I am again with Sway and we are talking about another project released by Elder Entertainment. I’m humbled, but at the same time proud of the quality project we have created. Ive had so many doubters along the way on this project. People telling me Spice 1 was outdated and kids today couldn’t relate. My production was outdated and no one will listen. That this project was a bad idea and I need to work with younger artists. All these negative ass remarks are from people who obviously know everything there is to know about the music business. 🙄😂 Good music is good music. Saying good music is outdated is just another form of hating. The moral to the story is to follow your own path. Do what you enjoy. Let your passion lead the way. Never allow these cornballs who lack vision, patience, or the balls to chase their own dreams to influence you on your own personal choices to make your life better. Never let them deter your ambition or your aspirations. My journey in this music business has been filled with ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade any of it because it has made me who I am today. They will laugh at you when you first start, clown you, drag your name through the mud, but then they will end up bragging to people about “how they know you” once you start doing all the things they said you couldn’t do. I will never stop going. Bet your house on it.
