This weekend will act as a focal point on my journey as I was able to attend my second David Landreville clinic(this time alongside another horseman-Warwick Schiller)

David leads not through pressure but by being the first to move into a space of vulnerability-Both with clinic participants as well as with horses.
Each session begins with centering and creating an emotionally inviting space to work. This is followed by an artistically systematic approach to trimming.
By working at Liberty and having intentional pauses for feedback, the trim itself encourages communication between the horse and handler.
There is a quiet focus on floating the rasp and rounding the foundation of the horse until there are no sharp edges or points of discomfort missed on the hoof of the horse or in their mind towards the relationship.
David models a horsemanship practice based in attunement, connection and emotional regulation as a way to support collection in the mind and body of the horse.

I have chosen a life of devotion-choosing to be a servant leader to the horses in my life as a spiritual practice-and I am grateful to be encircled by individuals who are aligned in this path💫❤️
