City Council’s Community Health committee today voted against an abortion travel fund. The proposal introduced by Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda would have allocated $100,000 for San Antonio women traveling out of state to seek abortions. Some committee members argued that the fund would open the city to lawsuits.
