Today is the perfect rainy, Fall day. The kind where you just want to snuggle up on the couch, drink a warm drink, and get lost in a good book or show.

My favorite part of rainy days are the rainbows that follow. Reminding me that storms don’t always last and there is beauty around the corner.

I’ve know Arielle since 2005. She was just a little girl with her whole life ahead. I watched her grow up and when her mom called to check my availability to photograph her wedding I was humbled.

I don’t often shoot same s*x couples and worried that I would be able to capture their relationship and their love effectively. After our first meeting my fears subsided as I could see how much Arielle and Mori meant to each other.

These two are about to become moms and I’m so grateful they trusted me to document the start of this chapter in their love story.

Not everybody loves cake… let them eat pie!

Similar to the exchanging of rings, the cake cutting is another ritualistic ceremony symbolic of the cooperative nature of marriage. One of the things I do is go over that symbolism with clients in planning to determine if and how they want to handle cake cutting as it should be personal to them.

and .chauviere started and ended their wedding with fireworks. It was so much fun seeing their reaction as they walked into the room with family and friends cheering.
