Man who was shot alongside his 5-year-old daughter in a Michigan church attack was confronted by chants of “**** the Mormons” at the BYU–Cincinnati football game. He and his wife attended the game in an effort to move forward and enjoy a night out, just two months after surviving the deadly hate attack on their place of worship. Despite their efforts to feel normal, the chanting from Cincinnati fans brought back the fear and trauma of the shooting, leaving the couple shaken and frustrated.

Tokyo will host Japan’s first GIVE Machine, a charitable vending machine operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at OOTEMORI Mori Plaza in Otemachi Tower from late November through Christmas. The bright red machine allows visitors to “purchase” donations such as food, textbooks, and agricultural supplies, with 100% of funds going directly to trusted charities. Since launching in 2017, GIVE Machines worldwide have raised the equivalent of about 7 billion yen, engaging millions in simple, hands-on giving.
