Live StormTracker Radar: Friday, August 9, 2024
Here is Live StormTracker Radar with some Live Cameras from across Delmarva as we watch for the potential of severe weather throughout the day today.
Note: This is just streaming radar, there will be no one talking during this live stream.
Expecting to see rounds of heavy rain over the course of the next couple of days as the boundary that passed across Delmarva this morning comes back to the north tonight as it is pushed by an area of low pressure coming in from the Atlantic.
The heaviest rain should fall starting in the early morning hours of Friday and continue throughout the day on Friday into Friday night and wrap up during the day on Saturday.
On average, we are expecting to see 1-3" of rain across Delmarva. There will be some that somehow see less then these totals and some of us that could see quite a bit more in the way of rain. It all depends on where these bands of rain set up with the embedded thunderstorms.
We do need the rain, but the problem that we might be getting too much of a good thing in some places. It could cause some flooding issues if we do start talking about folks picking up over 3-4-5 inches of rain from this system since the ground won't be able to absorb it fast enough.
Something to keep in mind over the next few days.
I've added the possible totals one model has suggested in the comments.
