MARY MOILANEN has been crafting her whole life, growing up in a creative family where making things by hand was second nature. A self-taught knitter, she discovered her true passion in creating stuffed animals that bring joy, comfort, and spark imagination. About four years ago, she started Calumet Knits to share these handmade friends with others. For Mary, seeing the huge smiles on kids’ faces makes every stitch and every hour of work worthwhile. Each piece is thoughtfully made with love, creativity, and care — and all of her creations are CPSC certified, ensuring they are safe for children of all ages.
