Democracy Watch Media brings its news service to North America with its North American Desk focusing on news augmentation and coverage for events, issues, practices, and policies affecting democracy throughout the three major North American nations: the Dominion of Canada, the United Mexican States, and the United States of America. The North American editor currently also serves as chief North American correspondent. As with other correspondents, the news service will assist these journalists in marketing their coverage and reports. Each province or state may have a correspondent, although in some instances, one person may cover more than one assignment. Some states, provinces, ore areas may also have their own contributing editors, stepping in from time to time to help organize coverage and augment news for their areas. Our community maintains itself as a collaborative effort to inform the public dialogue so essential for vibrant democracies. The national editor for Canada works in collaboration with two contributing editors, one for Western Canada and another for Eastern Canada. Chief correspondents will also be invited to join our efforts, one national and one each for Western and Eastern Canada, and such local editors and correspondents as deemed necessary.
