Salem lost a legend when we lost Peter Courtney. Over the years, he appeared in countless video projects promoting worthy efforts in our community. Perhaps the most fun we had with him, however, was when we got to "ambush" him with the "Legacy of Leadership" award from the Salem Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. In his honor, it's worth the re-watch!

AVP was privileged to work with Gerry Frank many, many times over the years. As so many others have said better than we could, his passing is a huge loss for our community.
He was so humble that few knew about his service during WWII. We only learned this in 2013, when we were producing a video for the proposed WWII memorial. He was on the list of surviving WWII vets in Oregon, we invited him to come in and share some stories. Only then did we learn that, as a young Jewish soldier, he helped liberate the Ohrdruf concentration camp.
While we could not possibly do his story justice, it was an amazing revelation that highlighted just how humble he was, and how the memory of that moment still impacted him some 70 years later. Here is the video, Gerry appears several times throughout...
