In 1969, while Bluenose II was sailing from Halifax to Bermuda, crew members Craig Harding and Neil Robitaille were swept overboard. Harding managed to grab hold of a line, but Robitaille was lost at sea. In 2021, Harding and crewmate Stephen Boyd shared their memories of that voyage with CBC. Watch their interview here:
