Congratulations to our talented staff for their commitment to community journalism! The EO Media Group took home many awards during the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association annual conference last week at the Salishan Resort in Gleneden Beach. The contest was judged by the Kentucky Press Association for work published during the 2018 calendar year.
East Oregonian received 10 awards, including the top prize General Excellence award, which the EO has won eight of the past nine years.
Capital Press captured its fifth consecutive sweepstakes win — its eighth in the last 10 years. Capital Press also took third place in the Target Audience Publication General Excellence category as well as six other awards.
Blue Mountain Eagle took home a total of 12 awards in its division.
Hermiston Herald won five awards, including third-place in its division for General Excellence.
The Daily Astorian won four awards.
EO Media Group Design Studio received three awards for design.
