Instagram is rewarding small and original creators 👏🏽

If you've been thinking of taking content creation seriously, this is your sign 💻

Instagram recently announced that it is developing a new ranking system to ensure fair opportunities for all creators to gain visibility.

But what does this mean? 💭

According to Instagram, eligible content will be shown to both followers and non followers as usual. However, as users interact with the content, the top-performing reels will be gradually showcased to a broader audience, with the best among them reaching an even wider audience.

This is very familiar to an algorithm that already exists but we'll let you make the connection 👀

Instagram also announced that it will be taking originality seriously. This means that if they find identical or reposted content, they will only recommend the original post *unless* it has been significantly edited. 📱

We still don't know what this will look like but we do know that original creators will receive priority when it comes to content being recommended in places like the explore page and the reels tab.

This is a win to both small and known creators putting in the work to create original content and we're here for it. 👏🏽

Make sure that you have an email in your Instagram and TikTok bios for brands to contact you. Here's why 👇🏽

Brands and marketers are most likely looking for you on a laptop, not on their mobile phones. This means that we can't see or hit the "email" / "contact" button that's only available for mobile viewers. 😲

Also, if we are looking for influencers manually (instead of using an influencer campaign management platform), we're going through profiles pretty quickly. You may be skipped if your contact information is not front and center.

2. Google Workspace - Your emails, documents, presentations, and more all in one place AND accessible on all your devices.

3. OpenAI - AI has taken over and while it doesn’t replace human originality, it does help brainstorm and speed projects along.

4. Later - Posting manually has its perks, but consistency comes from creating a batch of content and scheduling early.

5. Adobe Creative Cloud - A great program and investment for all your content creation needs.
