Did you know that you can donate your vehicle to MPR? It’s super simple!

Read what MPR Member Abigail says about donating her car, Goldie Honk, to MPR:

"I donated my car, Goldie Honk, to MPR. It was kind of a shiny, sparkly gold. I was emotionally attached to the car, and I couldn't bear to sell her. Donating to MPR feels great. The same radio that we listened to in the car is being helped by the car. It’s something really unique." - Abigail, MPR member

Learn more about vehicle donations at mpr.org/vehicle and start your donation online or by calling 1-877-215-0227.

Leah Lemm, a citizen of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and senior editor for the MPR News Native News initiative, practices her culture in many ways - to include slowly learning Ojibwemowin, the Ojibwe language, attending community events and harvesting maple sap for syrup.

But aside from cooking her famous Ojibwe fried rice, Leah didn’t feel connected to the significance of Manoomin — a sacred plant revered for its sustenance and deep connection to Indigenous identity and heritage. So, she set out with a film crew to connect with her cultural roots through the tradition of wild rice harvesting.

That film, “Finding Manoomin: A Search for the Spirit of Wild Rice," can be found on-demand at mprnews.org/wildrice, or you catch it on Thanksgiving at 9 p.m. on TPT - Twin Cities PBS.
