Marathon #54 and State #40 checked off of the list. Fun and quick trip to New Hampshire for the Clarence DeMar Marathon (named for the 7 time Boston Marathon winner and 1924 Olympic Bronze Medalist). Enjoyed this small and well organized race in Keene, New Hampshire. The course was rolling hills with an abundance of fall foliage 🍁. No time goal for me just wanted to enjoy the mileage and the scenery…and survive the hills 😂. 4:45 finish time and feeling good post race. As always thanks to everyone for the support and love!

Our Icelandic adventure begins 😀🇮🇸

Marathon #53 and State #39 in the books 😀. Fun, quick trip to Billings, MT for the Queen Bee Montana Marathon. Scenic 26.2 course that combined scenic prairie land with urban neighborhoods. A few rolling hills but primarily a downhill race…we got bussed out roughly 20ish miles for the point to point course. Quads and hammies are feeling it today but during the race felt great and think my indoor winter training sufficed (was very worried about not getting in many outdoor long runs). 4:55 finish time and an enjoyable experience.

Thanks to the race director and volunteers for all of their hard work and support. Thanks to all my family and friends who continue to encourage me on this trek to run 50 marathons in all 50 states 👊🏽👍🏽😀…you continue to fuel my fire!

Willow River State Park - one of my favorite places to visit year around but very refreshing in the summer. Hike or bike the trails then hop in the river to cool off. Or let the sound of the waterfalls put you to sleep 😀. Quick drive from the Twin Cities and definitely worth the trip.
