Helping kids feel good in their bodies and with food. đź’›
WithAll gives adults tools to prevent eating disorders in kids and provides financial support during recovery. We do this through our What to Say programs for parents, teachers, coaches, and healthcare professionals, giving you practical guidance to prevent eating disorders and promote lifelong well-being. For those already struggling, our R

ecovery Support Program provides financial grants to help cover basic living costs, like housing and groceries, during intensive eating disorder treatment. Our work is made possible by generous donors. Every gift helps us reach more kids and support more people in recovery.

Did you know young athletes are nearly 3x more likely to develop an eating disorder than non-athletes?

That’s why the words and support from parents and coaches matter so much. When you talk about food as fuel, focus on effort over appearance, and model positive self-talk, you help kids feel confident, stay healthy, and enjoy their sport for the long run.

Discover easy shifts every parent and coach can make to protect athletes’ confidence and well-being:

Research shows a simple shift makes a big difference:
When kids focus on what their bodies can do—running, climbing, hugging, playing—they build a healthier body image.

That’s why WithAll’s free “What to Say” resources help parents, teachers, and coaches highlight what bodies can do, not how they look.

Every compliment becomes a simple, everyday way to strengthen kids’ confidence and well-being.

Kids aren’t born worrying about carbs, calories, or clothing sizes.
They learn it from the words and attitudes of the adults around them.

The good news? A few small changes in what you say can protect kids’ confidence and help them build a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.

Together, we made 2025 one of our most impactful years yet.

With your support:

✔️ 802,000 adults were reached through What to Say resources and awareness campaigns

✔️ 1.7 million kids benefited from adults being equipped with What to Say resources

✔️ 1,000+ individuals have been supported since the start of our Recovery Support Program

And this is just the beginning. In 2025–26, we’re set to expand our programs, support even more people in recovery, and continue changing the conversation about bodies and food.

Keeping kids fueled during busy days is possible. Here’s how...

Kids need steady fuel to focus, learn, and play.

But with school, sports, and activities, it’s easy for them to go too long without eating. Skipping meals or snacks can leave kids cranky, tired, and less able to listen to their hunger cues.

Here are two quick ways to keep them on track:
âś… Pack a snack in their backpack or keep one in the car for after school.
✅ Redefine “family meals” — it doesn’t always have to be dinner at the table. Eating together at the ball field or sharing a late meal still counts.

In this short video, Dr. Katie Loth shares more simple strategies for keeping kids fueled, even with the busiest schedules.

“Why is that person so big?”
Freeze. Panic. Fumble for words.

We’ve all been there.

Kids notice everything—and they’re not afraid to say it out loud.
But how we respond can either pass on shame… or teach body respect.

Instead of saying:
❌ “That’s not nice.”
❌ “Don’t say that.”

Try saying:
✅ “Bodies come in all shapes and sizes.”
✅ “Every body is different—and that’s okay.”

She’s not trying to go viral. She’s just trying to fit in.

Social media is full of filters, beauty trends, and “glow-up” content. Even when kids are just exploring, the algorithm quickly starts shaping how they see themselves.

And the result?
Many kids feel like their real self isn’t good enough, before they even turn 10.
Research shows that over half of girls ages 6–8 already wish they were thinner.

You can help protect their confidence:
âś… Delay social media as long as possible
✅ Ask what they’re seeing in their feed
âś… Praise effort, movement, and joy, not appearance
âś… Talk openly about food, bodies, and online pressure
