“Terebinth Refuge is profoundly honored to have been nominated and recognized by our community for this award. This recognition is not just a win for us—it’s a victory for the survivors we serve and for the dedicated warriors who have raised their voices and taken action to support our mission. Their voices were heard, and because of that, this platform is now ours to amplify.

For an organization like ours, which operates without a marketing budget and remains largely unknown to many, this award is a monumental step in raising awareness. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the urgent reality that Minnesota ranks third in the nation for s*x trafficking, a heartbreaking statistic that demands action. That is not very Minnesota nice.

In a time when the economy has forced us to navigate significant losses in funding, this recognition feels even more vital. As a Christian-based organization, we are ineligible for many state and federal funding opportunities. Yet, we steadfastly refuse to compromise our mission by removing Christ from the heart of our work.
