Last night was truly a full circle moment.
I had the honor of hosting a literacy night at my childhood elementary school, Valley Oaks, in Galt.
Getting to gift every child a free copy of The Carousel King and the Space Mission and to read to them was beyond special. They especially loved That Girl on TV Could Be Me and hearing that l’m from Galt too. Watching their faces light up and seeing them walk away believing that even if you come from a small town, you can achieve anything was everything.
My heart is so full.

It was an honor to have been selected by the Riverside County Department of Education to lead a session for teachers and reading coaches!

I’m the proud founder of Cielito Lindo Books and my mission was sparked because I was that kid who didn’t have diverse books growing up.

It’s a full circle moment as I now get to help shape the stories that go into classroom libraries.

Every child should be given access to quality books, so they can become confident readers.

It was a gift to spend the day with amazing educators like Rosalba Rodriguez.

Thank you for supporting our mission. I’m thrilled to share that Cielito Lindo Books, the Latina-owned publishing company I created from the ground up, has officially landed a major distribution deal with APG!
Starting January 1, 2026, our beautiful bilingual books will reach even more families as we enter the retail market nationwide.
After five years of hard work, persistence, and heart, Cielito Lindo Books is growing. Children everywhere deserve to see themselves in the stories they read.
Our distributor told us it’s rare to get pre-orders unless you’re a New York Times bestseller… but I’m humbled and proud to say that many retailers have already ordered our bilingual books!
Representation matters. Dreams matter. And this is just the beginning.

Thank you for supporting our journey to create beautiful bilingual books for children around the world.
I’m beyond honored to share that both my son Maxton and I were recognized at the 2025 International Latino Book Awards.
Maxton received four medals for his board book The Carousel King and the Space Mission, including the gold for Best Board Book and Best Gift Book. He also received medals for Best First Book and Best Youth Author.
His book continues to inspire kids to believe in themselves and discover the joy of reading!
I was deeply moved to receive four medals for my book The Power of a Sister Circle, including the gold for Most Inspirational Book and Best Latino Themed Book. I was also honored with the Dolores Huerta Award and Best Fiction Book in Spanish.
It was an incredible night celebrating Latino stories, representation, and the power of friendship. We have an incredible team!

Today students in Ceres got to see themselves reflected on the pages of our bilingual books and were inspired to dream big by writing their own stories.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we were so moved to see students proudly representing their diverse cultures.

The joy on their faces reminded us why storytelling matters.

Every child deserves to see their voice and heritage honored.

More than 50 high school migrant students from Los Angeles County are the featured authors and artists of this amazing book. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to turn young people into published authors. This is something that will give them an edge as they apply to college and seek fulfilling careers. Three award-winning authors were in the house at Riverbank Elementary School in West Sacramento. Maxton, Bronx, and Leticia were so excited to read their bilingual books to Kinder Camp in partnership with the United Way California Capital Region. Children who are heading to Kindergarten all received a free copy of Super Peanut and the Big Bully: The Power of Kindness.
