We were crying when the first exhausted little girls arrived at the Father’s House. In the evening when it was time to go to bed, they all were sitting at our bed, not saying anything, just holding our hands. At first they were sleeping under the beds, because they felt it was more secure. When they saw us they tried to hug us with their tiny hands, hoping to receive a little bit more love and affection. Now they have grownup. They cook, do the dishes, and clean their home. We have built a separate house for the girls and one more house for the boys. These girls were rescued from death and they need our monthly support. Join us today and let’s make a difference together.

The scorching sun beat down mercilessly, making everyone exhausted. Sweat flowed like a salty stream, bringing tears to eyes. According to Indian unwritten rules, the bus driver either drags slowly along a winding road in the mountains, or drives too fast around the hairpin turns on the mountain roads.

What is around the next turn in the mountains? A herd of skinny cattle, nipping dried grass from the scorching sun? A rockslide? A speeding oncoming truck? What would happen to everyone who bought a bus ticket for this trip: Good luck, irreversible loss, sudden success or devastating disappointment? Everyone who somehow ended up on the bus would pass through unpredictable twists of fate, and none of them would ever forget this trip.

Lakshmi was sitting alone on the concrete floor, her face buried in her bent knees. She had lost count of the days long ago. If not for a small hole in the ceiling, she would never know when the never-ending day came, and when the never-ending night came to replace it. Life had turned into an infinite hell, and there was no way out – no light, nobody to help her. She spent her days hysterically calling for help, pounding the soulless closed door with all of her might, or crumpled on the floor sobbing inconsolably. She realized with horror that she was doomed to her captivity.

Welcome to The Salvation House, a powerful initiative dedicated to combatting human s*x trafficking and rescuing young girls from its clutches in India. Our mission is to stand as a beacon of hope for these vulnerable souls, providing them with a safe haven and a chance at a brighter future.

India is a nation of immense beauty and cultural diversity, but it also faces a dark and pervasive issue – human s*x trafficking. This heinous crime thrives on the exploitation of the most vulnerable among us, with young girls being the primary targets. Factors such as poverty, gender discrimination, and lack of education pave the way for traffickers to prey on their innocence, robbing them of their childhood and dignity.

Victims of s*x trafficking endure unimaginable suffering – physical, emotional, and psychological abuse that leaves deep scars on their lives. Many are forced into the trade against their will, subjected to unspeakable violence, and trapped in a vicious cycle from which escape seems impossible.

At The Salvation House, we believe that every child deserves a life free from exploitation and fear. Our dedicated team of professionals, social workers, and volunteers work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate young girls who have been trafficked. Burma was under a military government control since 1962. No foreign activities were allowed in the country during that time. For 18 years we prayed for Burma and during that time we organized several Bible Schools for Burmese refugees who had settled in India. In 2010 the Iron Curtain fell and Burma opened for the Gospel. The country changed its name and became Myanmar.

In the year 2018 we went to Myanmar and organized our first Bible School for 24 students. While the school was operating, God supernaturally healed our Burmese interpreter. We could see something was wrong with him. The man is of a short stature. From time to time, he would sit down on a chair, and then the students couldn’t see him, only hearing his voice. Then he would get up, but after a while, he would sit down again. We thought, “Bik adopted 8 children and takes care of them every day. He works hard on the fields growing corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It looks like his legs are very sore”.

Next day Bik looked terrible. He sat on the chair and interpreted our message. Suddenly he jumped up and started walking normally. Later, he explained what happened, “Three years ago I started having severe health problems. Every day I suffered from dizziness and heartache. Sometimes I felt so sick, I was not able to get out of bed. During the Bible School, I became even weaker. I was afraid I was going to collapse on the floor.” Then Bik continued, “I knew it was impossible for me to work as an interpreter for 3 weeks. But when I heard your message about faith, something happened. Suddenly, I felt so much energy! Dizziness and heartache were gone. God set me free from my sickness. Now I am completely healed!” The Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights!

Light for Nations Ministry is dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of those who are hurting and in desperate need of the love of Christ. Based in Dehradun, India, the ministry reaches out to some of the most underprivileged people in the world, providing them with the support they need to improve their lives and bring hope for a better future. Through relationships, education, food, and shelter, we strive to embody the love and compassion of Christ in every interaction.

Our work is divided into three key projects:

1. Slum Project: We currently work with the underprivileged children, offering them tuition, guitar classes, and Bible storytelling. These activities provide not only education but also a sense of community and spiritual growth, helping them to develop skills and values that will support them throughout their lives.

2. Friends and Fellowship Project: This initiative focuses on building strong, meaningful friendships and establishing small house church fellowships. By creating these close-knit communities, we foster spiritual growth and mutual support among believers, helping them to grow in their faith and share it with others.

3. Training Workshops: We believe strongly in equipping people for the work of God’s Kingdom. Our training programs are designed to prepare individuals to serve effectively in ministry, whether in their local communities or beyond, empowering them to be leaders and servants who make a lasting impact.

Through these projects, Light for Nations Ministry continues to bring light and hope to those who need it most, fulfilling our mission to serve and transform lives in the name of Christ.

One of our children’s homes is located not far from the Arabian Sea, in Kerala, one of the states of India. Together with you, we were able to change the lives of the 40 boys living there. Victor and Zoya’s family are one of those who volunteered to financially support this children’s home. And thanks to the support of our partners, like you, this project keeps going successfully.

Recently, while visiting this project, we witnessed something very interesting. One day I noticed several eagles flying high in the sky. Magnificent birds soared without even moving their wings, they were enjoying morning ocean breeze. Suddenly, a crow came out of the blue. Flapping its wings, with angry croaking, the crow attacked one of eagles, that was flying on a lower altitude than others.

I was looking forward to a spectacular ending. The eagle was several times bigger than a crow! But something completely unexpected happened. The eagle didn’t pay any attention to the angry crow, and just kept soaring like nothing was happening. Then the eagle slightly changed the position of its wings, and mighty streams of the ocean breeze took it high in the sky. The angry crow attempted to follow the eagle, but it was thrown to the ground by the mighty streams of ocean breeze. Disappointed and defeated, the crow landed on the pail of garbage, and kept scavenging through it.

“Very interesting, – I thought, – Instead of spending its time and energy fighting with the crow, the eagle simply slightly changed the position of its wings and moved to a higher level”. For me this became a living illustration of what Prophet Isaiah said, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40: 31)

Every day each one of us experiences all kinds of problems. Sicknesses, disappointments and troubles are trying to take our focus off of what is really important. The Word of God is encouraging you not to get distracted by all of this. Instead keep being focused on God’s plan for your life. Like an eagle, mount up with wings, and rise up to the next level.

Victor and Zoya’s family lost their son in a fight against cancer. But they refused to accept the defeat, instead they decided to move to a higher level and fulfill the desire of their son. He wanted to make a difference through supporting children’s homes. With God’s help this family has made a difference in the lives of the 40 boys. What was meant for their harm, now became God’s victory in their lives. Think about this, maybe the challenges and the problems you go through right now, are meant to move you to the next level?

Jesus’ Friends – Children’s Ministry in Visakhapatnam is a multifaceted Christian mission dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with vulnerable populations, including women and children in slums, those affected by HIV/AIDS, and marginalized communities in both urban and rural regions. Rooted in a vision of hope and transformation, the ministry aims to address spiritual, emotional, and physical needs through Bible teaching, skill-building, and community support.

The ministry began with a calling to provide hope and healing through Christ, particularly for children and women experiencing trauma, stigma, and discrimination. Over time, the mission expanded to support a wide range of at-risk groups, including children living on the streets, single-parent families, women in distress, and tribal communities practicing nature worship. Inspired by the message of Luke 4: 18–19, the ministry emphasizes the holistic transformation of lives through faith, empowerment, and practical assistance, as it is written:

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

He was born 2,000 years ago in a small city called Bethlehem as a son of a carpenter. His birth was not noticed by many at that time, yet now we view all of history as divided into 2 major parts: BC – before, and AD – after his birth.

His supernatural birth was foretold by the prophet Isaiah 700 BC. It was accompanied with a mighty manifestation of angels. His death shook Jerusalem with a great earthquake splitting the rocks. The sun stopped shining. An awesome manifestation of God’s power raising people from the dead took place, and was witnessed by many.

He spoke about peace, love and forgiveness, yet people rejected him and crucified him on a cross. As he died on the cross he prayed for those who crucified him. Completely crushed with everything that took place, with tears, his executioners confessed him as the Son of God.
