I am so excited for this Thursday!
Please tune in for our first proof of concept livestream changing the paradigm on how artists are compensated in a digital format!

Several years ago Jóhann Schram Reed and I sought to create a platform that could be better than the advertising model currently out there to help artists cultivate a more equitable career in the digital world. This concert is the first step to getting this platform launched and into the world.

We have partnered with an incredible artist, Jack French to work with and Conduit Studios LLC will be producing and streaming the video content.

We had an amazing time in the Coachella Valley collaborating with and Leeza Hoyt to produce video content for an innovative new (and beautiful) affordable housing development with 110 units!

This is the City of Coachella Mayor
Steven Hernandez discussing the new development and the future of Coachella Valley in front of the famous mural of activist Dolores Huerta. The mural is a powerful symbol, as Huerta is one of the most influential labor activists of the 20th century and a leader of the Chicano civil rights movement. The new housing development will be named in her honor.

Today’s featured Artist of the Week is Amanda Achen ✨

Next month, Amanda will be performing to a sold out Radio City Concert Hall, for the Music of Miyazaki Symphonic Concerts, directed by composer Joe Hisaishi. She will also be releasing original music in 2022!

A fun fact about Amanda is that Amanda is most well known for her singing on recent Final Fantasy XIV expansion packs. 😮 🎶

Songs for Tasya // Polina Nazaykinskaya

ARTIST OF THE WEEK

Today’s featured Artist of the Week is composer Polina Nazaykinskaya ✨

This season, Polina is extremely excited to have the legendary San Francisco Ballet choreographing her 10-violin piece “The Rising”, premiering on January 27th. She is also looking forward to the world-premiere of a new symphonic poem, “The Tales of Sorrow”, which will be premiered on December 11 by the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes at the Clemens Center in Elmira, NY. “Clearly we live in an unprecedented times and its subject matter resonates with me deeply,” she says. Next week Polina is enroute to Moscow for a studio recording of her large orchestral poem “Fenix” as part of a new immersive art initiative Site Specific Dances, as well as two recitals of her music in Perm and Moscow.

A fun fact about Polina is that she moonlights as a fiddler in a rock band! 🤘

Today’s feature is a very exciting first for us: video game music! This piece was written for Final Fantasy VI and features on the soundtrack.

A fun fact about Annie is she sings a lot of video game music in addition to opera, and the opera scene in this particular video game (Final Fantasy VI) is part of what inspired Annie to learn to sing!

Starting the weekend off right with some incredible music! Bizet known most well for his tour de force "Carmen" also wrote several other remarkable pieces. In this very infrequently performed opera, we get to hear much of Bizet's luscious tone palette and quite a bit of drama as well! Thank you Brian and José for singing and playing so beautifully! I think this last Tuesday 75 million Americans made their voices heard to speak out for equality, justice, and liberty.
