Level 37.

I've been doing these mini-blog posts for a couple years now, so let's keep it going.

Last year was in many ways the most successful year of my life. I got to do work for some companies, be a major contributor to a cool product, work for a good variety of rockstars and legends, and I'm really thankful for all the opportunities and I am hoping I can make an even bigger impact this year.

Crowkeeper Studios has done very well. It's only been the second year in business here in Sac and I've got to do stuff that I only dreamed about in my old location. The studio itself has given me a lot to work with and I feel like I'm making good contributions, meaningful contributions to every project that I've got to work with.
My goal is to be indispensible, and I think that I'm doing a pretty good job at that.

Musically I have been feeling inspired recently and I think there will be a lot more music to come on a personal level. You can feel that sort of thing brewing when you just start slamming out an albums worth of material. Writing again has been exciting.

Home life is doing good, this year I'll have been married for 3 years, and our boy is basically a year and a half now. He's just a little cutie buddy, and I love him to bits, even when he's annoying. lol

Maybe next year he will have a little friend to play with. We'll see!

I'm ready to keep this life progress going.

Bigger bands, bigger business, bigger family! Let's get it!

P.S I don't know how the grays in my beard don't show up on camera that well yet. They look damn bright in person. haha

One of the very first musicians I ever got to jam with,

The core of our styles stems from each other, the first 5 years of playing music and growing and discovering new stuff. All the things we do stems from that first major band of ours. The countless riffs we made up and bands we shared with each other was dope. Loved those years of discovery.

If only our last buddy .pardee had been there to complete the trio.

Jamming again felt like we just played 10 days ago, not 10 years. Was sick, and hopefully we get to do it again sometime.

When Gary Holt came in the studio to capture his amps for STL tones, he brought with him a pedal that absolutely kicked ass. I knew I had to snag one as a permanent piece in the studio.

This thing basically adds a Resonance or Presence k**b to amps that don't have it. It can also still be used with amps that do have one, when you don't like the sound of those controls on the amp itself.

Really gives you a lot of extra bite and extra depth to amps that could use it!

Stoked to try it out on the next reamp!

A few months ago gave me the opportunity to work for , as with all opportunities, I gave it the best I've got!

I did the engineering to capture some of Gary's favorite heads, many of the ones he's used on previous albums!

Super proud to do the work, and to do my part to capture a bit of that Holt tone and give it to the public.

Every day our opportunities and responsibilities grow!
This time we were working for a major company to capture Gary Holt's signature Arachnid Cabinets 4x12, as well as 3 of his amps, most of which have been used on previous Exodus albums.

The man walked away stoked, and I'm pretty certain the company will be thrilled at what we captured. Will announce more when the product gets released!

So..... you need something mixed? hahaha
