Walking to prevent child abuse
There was a gathering and march this morning, Saturday, Sept. 28, from Main Street Park with a sizable crowd of locals and other Vermonters supporting prevention of child abuse. Rutland Mayor David Allaire was there with the walkers in support of the cause.

Close on to 10 years ago, on a cold January evening, a Friday it was, at Rutland’s Food Co-op on Wales Street, I heard Céleste Perrino sing this song, among others. Not long thereafter, we recorded it in the Fox Room upstairs at the library. It’s a funny, strange story about a “bone man,” Sam Jones, who, not surprisingly, collects bones “up and down the nation.” Camera and production by RH Alcott.
