We digitally restore and transfer slides, photographs, 8, Super8 and 16 mm home movie footage, and videotapes to DVD as well as USB Flash drives. DVD albums can be created to commemorate any occasion, as well as make an excellent holiday gift! In addition, we also do audio transfers: LP's, 33, 45, and 78 rpm records, audio cassettes, and tracks from videotape to digitally mastered CDs. Since it's
inception in 1992, all work has been done on the premises of Classic Conversions and has not been sent out to any subsidiary or subcontractor. With careful attention to detail, our standard procedure has been to carefully chronicle, repair, and restore photos, slides, and/or film footage to master files (on dv tape and our hard drives) just prior to their digital transfer. Everything is arranged in sequential order, with specialized treatment of intro titles, transitional effects, and matching music (the latter either from our own audio library or CD's provided on loan by the client). Unlike the assembly line-like appearance of many of our competitor's end product, our goal has always been to combine quality visual presentations with appropriate matching music and sound - that not only help enliven the subject matter, but also recapture the mood and atmosphere of that particular period of time... where the past is made to come alive once again in the present moment. As the founder and operator of Classic Conversions, Bob Modero has been involved with all phases in the day to day operation of services centered around film, video tape, photo and slide conversions for customers and local retailers since 1992. Over the years, Bob has been instrumental in making it possible for the company to offer a full range of services - that have included film and video repairs, post production dv editing; Hi-res scanning, and saving 35mm slides, film negatives and photographs as digital files onto data disks & customer hard drives; CD and DVD duplication; Audio transfer and digital mastering of most record and audio tape formats to CD.
