The Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter Haunted Trails at 705 Hale Road in Shelbyville Indiana.

Saturday, October 28th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Free event! It is OUR way of giving back to the community that supports us. We always appreciate donations.

No dogs, please.

Dress accordingly as it is outside, in our woods. Just follow the trail :) Good luck.

We will be handing out candy under our McNamara Plaza (next to the shelter).

Dale Camp will be back with his awesome music and sound effects.

Just some of the comments we received at our Haunted Trails event on Saturday. We asked you to share and to come, you did. Thank you so very much!!!! We feel your love. With three full parking lots, parking on Hale Road and parking at the Street Department, we estimate there were 800 plus people here. The monetary donations also set a record. We raised (are you ready) $2,439.00!! We were blessed with perfect weather. We are thankful to our steadfast volunteers and loyal employees for dressing up and creating the eerie atmosphere. We also thank Dayla Thurston of Dayla B Photography (her incredible pictures and video will be posted soon) for her talent, Dale Camp of Tunes on the Go who was our DJ and filled the air with creepy sounds, Joe Baird for allowing us to use his parking lots, Alvina and Scott and other volunteers for working under the McNamara Shelter, volunteers Kristin, Alvina, Emily and Kandi for fixing a delicious meal and desserts for the volunteers and staff. Thank you to Keith Barrett, who starts this event in July and finished on October 29th (just before the event). Yes, it takes that long and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our fun-filled event. I don't know of many animal shelters that have a haunted trail, but we are thankful for the scenic woods that we have and for Keith's vision. Yes, Keith is already talking about a new huge prop that he will start building. Does he ever rest? We hope to see you again next year.
