A customer recently reached out, asking if we could build a walnut end table with a lamp attached. Something his mother wanted. He decided to make her birthday extra special this year and had blacktreeQ do a custom design! Our maker got to work and this is the result. It’s one-of-a-kind. Nobody else in the world has it. Walnut•Resin•Arrow Dining Table

A simple design. Solid walnut wood. A hidden treasure. An arrow, subtly visible, encased in the resin + walnut tabletop. A stout beam connects the modern triangle legs for the base. From concept to completion we are pleased with the result. We hope good eats, enjoyable conversation and fond memories are experienced when gathered around this table!

We received so much interest in our ellipse table and three-tier plant stand that we decided to blend the two designs•here is the result!🖤

This piece is the perfect size to use as a plant stand, side table, or small occasional table. The round top and oval base with our curved stem design is clean, sleek and classy - a charming conversation piece.

Constructed of solid walnut wood, using traditional joinery throughout (no hardware) for lifetime strength and durability. A handsome copper ring lines the top for some contemporary elegance. Black resin is used to fill holes and cracks. A cherry wood bowtie joint has been inlayed over a crack to mitigate movement over time.

This unique one-of-a-kind blacktreeQ desk is crafted from white oak wood stained black (base) and cedar wood + black resin epoxy with a natural finish (top). The desk features traditional joinery throughout, mortise & tenons, wooden dowel pins and locking miters for heirloom quality made to last for generations. The handmade copper drawer pulls might be our favorite detail🖤

Who remembers the 2020 midwest derecho?! It’s estimated this derecho damaged or destroyed 7.2 million trees with its hurricane-force winds across the state of Iowa. The storm took a sizable elm tree from one of our clients. Fortunately they were able to salvage some and recently asked if we could help make it a permanent part of recreational space in their workshop. Of course we said “yes”! Our good friend Bob Reynolds over at Reynolds Portable Saw Mill flattened the slabs. Then we got to work filling voids, making the live edge backsplash, sanding, joining, applying high quality finish and building the base frame. We installed the 20 ft long counters a few weeks ago, yesterday we stopped by to apply the final ceramic coat, they wanted extra protection since they enjoy entertaining a lot visitors between friends, family and many beautiful children + grandchildren. We are so grateful we get to be part of meaningful builds like this. We’re happy the elm lives on in their presence.
