The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
parts of western and central Arkansas
northwestern Louisiana
southeastern Oklahoma
northeast Texas
* Effective this Thursday night and Friday morning from 955 PM
until 400 AM CST.
* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Strong/locally severe thunderstorms have developed this
evening across the Arkansas vicinity, with additional storm
development expected over the next couple of hours along the cold
front, across northeastern Texas and spreading across the Arklatex
region overnight. The strongest storms across this region will be
capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail, with a
couple of tornadoes also possible.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles
north and south of a line from 55 miles north of Corsicana TX to 45
miles east of Hot Springs AR. For a complete depiction of the watch
see the associated watch outline update (WOUS64 KWNS WOU9).
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

Southwestern Delta County in north central Texas...
* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 619 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Wolfe City, or 10 miles northwest of Commerce,
moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Commerce around 635 PM CDT.
Klondike and Cooper Lake around 645 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include

Fireline Rescue is hiring for their REMS Team. Our Remote Extrication Module Team is hiring EMTFs, and EMPFs for the 2023 Fire Season. The REMS team consists of two EMTFs and two EMPFs on a UTV. Our REMS team is equipped with everything needed to handle the difficult, and hard to reach medical calls on a wildland fire. We send our team out with an enclosed trailer that stores our equipment and our UTV. The trailer also functions as our remote command center allowing us to brief with our team and go over the fire activity and behavior each day. Our unique TomCar side by side, is purposely built to handle the roughest terrain to make it fast and easy to get the patient quickly and safely to more definitive care. It is capable of carrying three of our team members plus a patient in its onboard stokes basket. Each REMS team is equipped with a full complement of Advanced Life Saving medical gear to ensure excellent patient care. When the situation happens on steep terrain, the team is equipped with the latest rope rescue hardware to reach and treat those in need. Pay will depend on experience in wildland fire and previous REMs experience. We are looking for:
-Self motivated individuals
-Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
-Must be confident in medical decisions/care
-Strong physical fitness
-Ability to leave within a short notice for deployment and always be ready
-Good communication with team
-18 or older
-Valid driver’s licenses
-NREMT License
-State EMT or Medics License
-Wildland courses: S130, L180 & S190
-Most recent RT 130 refresher course and Pack Test certification
-CPR Card
-High angle/low angle rope rescue certification
-UTV/ATV safety card (to drive the UTV)
-Prior 911 experience
-Prior wildland firefighting experience
-Experience on a REMS team is preferred but willing to train the right/motivated people who are willing to learn and be a team player
