First-term commissioner Tracy Ellixson has been charged with felony possession of co***ne, misdemeanor possession of ma*****na up to a half ounce and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Earlier today, a charge of felony possession of a phone by an inmate was brought against Ellixson after he allegedly hid his phone inside paperwork when entering the jail, which was later discovered on video, according to Person County Sheriff Jason Wilborn.

Commissioner Tracy Ellixson is now facing three drug charges in addition to the four domestic violence-related charges and possession of a phone by an inmate.

According to the incident report released to The Courier-Times Thursday, drugs and a variety of fi****ms have been seized from commissioner Tracy Ellixson's home.

A report released Thursday to The Courier-Times shows drugs and guns were seized from Person County commissioner Tracy Ellixson's home in the wake of his arrest for domestic violence-related charges.

Person County commissioner Tracy Ellixson made his first appearance in Person County District Court Wednesday morning on multiple domestic violence charges.

BREAKING - A secured bond of $21,500 was set for Person County commissioner Tracy Ellixson during his first appearance in Person County District Court this morning. Ellixson was arrested yesterday on charges of communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and false imprisonment.
As part of his bond, he is not allowed to have contact with the victim, comply with any outstanding domestic violence orders and is not to be in possession of any fi****ms.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 11.

BREAKING: The Roxboro City Council unanimously voted tonight to approve the site plan for the proposed Chick-Fil-A at 1600 Durham Road.
The estimate from the developer’s representatives was that the restaurant will open in the fourth quarter of 2025 of the first quarter of 2026.
We’ll have more in Thursday’s edition.

Happy Friday, all.
We are mighty excited about The Wall That Heals traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial exhibit coming to Person County in May.
We're expecting people from all over the region to visit our community, including veterans who bravely served during the Vietnam War.
And we want to do our part to show them how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice.
We want to create Gratitude Bags that include thank you letters, cards and small gifts for our Vietnam veterans during their visit to The Wall that Heals.
We'll be accepting those contributions towards Project Gratitude through the end of April.
