I was born and lived most of my life in Colorado. 2 years ago, I moved to Texas. It is difficult for me to watch what is happening in Colorado, and to understand the impact it is making on so many people’s lives. A couple months after moving to Austin, I watched the fires in Bastrop, Texas destroy many homes and businesses, and have such an impact on many people here. Then to see what has happened in New York, and can’t forget the images of the destruction caused by Katrina in New Orleans. So many catastrophic events, so much devastation, and so many people’s lives changed. These people can not get back what they have lost, but with careful planning ahead, you can preserve many of your precious memories by converting your family videos (audios), photographs, 35mm slides, and important documents to digital format, and store them on the cloud for safe keeping. And catalogue your personal and business property with images and serial numbers in digital format. Everyone thinks…it won’t or can’t happen to me…that is what many people in Colorado, Texas, New York, and Louisiana believed too, but it did happen to them. I was inspired to begin preserving precious memories shortly after the passing of my mother in 2006. She had spent endless hours putting together albums of family photographs. I remember how these photo albums quickly became an attraction when the grandkids…my nieces and nephews would visit.
