Good morning, fabulous friends.
Tuesday’s are my Mondays. I go back to the salon and store and start my week. So it takes some effort to get going and want to leave my comfy house.
Like each day before, I HAVE to get out of bed, make the bed and make me a cup of hot, delicious & necessary coffee. It just ain’t my morning without my coffee! This girl needs her coffee!!!
I need my Jesus time too!
I grab my coffee and head to my offfice/craft room and take a comfy seat in my thinking chair. Open my Bible and devotion book, pray then read and study and listen for the Lord’s instructions for me.
When we put our faith in Jesus and were saved, Jesus became our Savior. We acknowledged that He saved us from our sins, we confessed that to be true and we chose to believe that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins. Then we accepted Him as our Savior. Right?
Matthew 16:18 says this: (in red; Jesus speaking)
“And I say also unto you, Thou are Peter, upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail (succeed) against it.”
Now replace, the name Peter with your name. And replace church with child. Then read it again.
Yes this verse is talking to the church (the body of believers) but we need to bring it home to ourselves. He was also speaking to the individual as well. It takes many members to make up His church. But if the members are not knowledgeable in scriptures nor are they obey the instructions of God then what is the point? Same for an individual.
Here is my point, well God’s point;
We made Jesus our Savior when we were saved but ask yourself is He Lord of your life?
Are you building your faith upon the Rock that Satan cannnot destroy?
Do you seek Him in everything thing you do?
To have Jesus as Lord over our lives means to follow him every single day, asking Him what He wants for you that day. Having Him as Lord means having an intentional relationship with Him.
I used to not take one minute each day to sit down and read my Bible and seek Him. He wasn’t Lord over my life. He saved me and was my Savior but I didn’t surrender and let Him be Lord. If I had known then what I know now…. Oh! It would’ve been a lot different and I would’ve surrendered my life sooner!
I can’t start my day, any day, without spending time with Jesus. I get up early so that I allow that time to happen. It’s like getting dressed, I have to do it because I now have that relationship that I love and I enjoy with Jesus. It’s like getting up and knowing you are meeting with your best friend and y’all are fixing to have some good ole conversations. With coffee, of course!
Today, thank Him for being your Savior and ask Him to help you live your life with Him as your Lord!
Seek him daily. Find the time. Make Him Lord over your life! Build upon the Solid Rock!!!

Good morning, beautiful friends!
God is good! Feeling over joyed today! Giving God all the praise and glory for using me yesterday morning to share His word at a Homecoming Sunday school
Service and was blessed by a wonderful, Spirited man of God as well! It was a good day!
This morning as I studied then chose a pic for this post. I happened to scroll through my personal page her on FB and saw a post that poked at my heart and a light bulb came on!
Just last night my hubby and I were talking about Christmas this year and how it’s gonna be kind of tight with the gift giving. He said “I used to enjoy Christmas, but now it’s not what it used to be. It has been changed and we (world) no longer even celebrate the meaning of Christmas. All everyone studies is the gifts and stuff you buy.”
He hit the nail on the head.
Then I read a post this morning. It was about decorating someone’s house (professionally) and that the client wanted it “like a magazine.”
That’s fine if you choose to go all out. I am not knocking or judging that at all.
I’m saying that quote made me think as well.
We have to get back to the TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!”
We have the choice.
We can continue to consume! Meaning take part in all the gimmicks and trends and big sales that the stores push on us.
Or
We can choose for ourselves that enough is enough!
We have to get back to God.
We have to get back to the point of Christmas in the first place.
We should celebrate Jesus and His birth and celebrate being with family instead of focusing on gifts and an imaginary red suited man.
It’s a choice. It’s our choice. Not some huge corporations that push us to consume more and more at Christmas.
Choose Christ this Christmas.
No intention to upset anyone just an observation. Do what you will; it’s your choice. I plan to do less consuming and more sharing of Christ’s love this wonderful season!!!

Good morning fabulous friends!
I have a big responsibility tomorrow. I’m a little nervous but I know God has me and will give me the words I need to share. I am teaching a congregational Sunday School message for the church I’ve attended for 30+ years. I raised my kids there. It is the Annual Homecoming Celebration. It is a honor to be asked to teach.
God laid on my heart a few months ago the subject matter in which He was entrusting me to share. I had pinpointed various scriptures throughout the Bible to reference to however, I needed to lock down the main scripture that my focus would be on.
GOD IS GOOD! Y’all!!!
He is on time!!!!
This morning, like every morning, I made my coffee and got cozy in my thinking chair (I still need to share that post again to my new friends🤦🏻‍♀️). I opened my devotion book and Bible to begin my morning study and what do you know?
This morning’s devotion came from one of the best books of the Bible and was my personal all time favorite, go-to scripture!! I was over joyed !!! 🙌🏻
You may not know this about me but I want to share with you my favorite scripture: Psalm 91!!! The whole thang, y’all, speaks volumes to remind us that God is in control and He has us beneath His wings and sends His angels to protect us no matter what!!!!! Amen!!
I encourage you to read it for your self! It’s good!!
Psalm 91 brought tears to my eyes this morning! Why?
God said, ”Girl, that is where you focus on tomorrow!”
I would have never intentionally picked that one because well, it’s my favorite and I’ve used it or tied it in some of my messages before in times past. So I was not even considering it! But God!!!
Overwhelmingly, I knew that it was the main focus for tomorrow!!!
I had confirmation not only by the tears that rolled down my face but also as I looked out my window; I purposefully have my chair facing an open blind window to see His creation each morning; He gave me a sign!
A small flock of tiny finches or sparrows landed in the river birch tree just outside my window and perched on the various limbs of that beautiful tree. I watched them flutter about and more tears began to flow.
That was God’s confirmation to me! His nod that I was on the right track for tomorrow.
Why birds? Read Psalm 91
Verse 4 says this:
“He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust: His truth shall be your shield and buckler…”
Confirmation!!! Wings…..feathers….birds!
Eyes open and hears ready to hear His words!!!
I could go on and on. I so beg you to read my favorite scripture and mark it in your Bible. Yes, you can write in your Bible!

Good morning, sweet friends!
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8
What is GPS?
Google’s definition is: GPS is Global Positioning System and it lets us know where we are and where we are going anywhere on earth.
Google also says that we still need objects in the sky to now where we are and how to get to other places, but now we use satellites instead of the stars.
However, we have access to a much better guidance system in the universe: GOD’S POSITIONING SYSTEM!!! Amen!!!
God has promised to teach us and counsel us in the way we should go.
He also promises to lovingly keep an eye on us to help keep us walking in the right direction.
How do we access this “GPS?”
First, listen for God.
How do we hear God?
Prayer
Patience in waiting
Intentionally seek Him.
In Psalm 32:8, God says “I will”!
He will guide us with His loving eye!
Yes an earthly GPS system is nice to travel physically on this earth 🌍 but GOD’s POSITIONING SYSTEM is a must to navigate the journey you are on with God and for God!
Knowing the path God has for your life can only come from having a relationship with God.
Access your spiritual GPS today! Spend intentional time with Him today! Look to the sky for God not the stars nor a satellite!

Good morning, lovely friends!
What is the most important thing in your life right now?🤔
Take a piece of paper and list a few that popped in your mind.
Now look at the first one you wrote down.
What was it?
How many of us wrote God first? Hmmmmm?????
“Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”
1 Corinthians 10:14
What is idolatry?
Anything that takes your affection and attention away from God. UH OH!!!
If we listed anything but God first like wealth, fame, possessions, the American dream, relationships, youth, perfect health, physical appearance, etc.; we have pushed God out of His rightful place in our lives and made those things our idols.
Look at the verse again ⬆️. Who is He speaking to?
”dearly beloved is YOU!”
He loves us so much. He died for us. Yet we don’t put Him first in ALL we do.
Yes, we should make the most of our lives but we should not be placing God last while we do it.
We should seek Him first in ALL that we do.
We need to be intentional and make time and space for God!
My day, everyday, starts with sitting in my “thinking chair” (if you are new to my page, I will repost that story soon) and I sit there. reading God’s word and spend intentional time with Him.
Get off the treadmill of life and take time with God!
Cut the Tv off, put the phone down, sit in the quietness and intentionally talk to God. You will hear him. The noise of life, the 24/7 constant noise of distractions keeps us and our mind occupied and we can’t hear God! Try it!!!
Today, when you take a break or stop for lunch; don’t pick up the phone to scroll. Just sit somewhere in a quiet space and be intentionally alone with God.
God desires for us to be with Him in that way. But we first have to get all the “stuff” out of His way. Idols!!!
Live your life but live for God!!!
