Last night was such a special evening at the Christina Renna Foundation Gala. It is always inspiring to witness the love, strength, and dedication that the Renna family demonstrates in honoring Christina's memory and pursuing a cure for childhood cancer.

Being part of this event and observing the collective effort of so many individuals coming together for such a meaningful cause is genuinely heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making it a memorable occasion.

Dr. King’s dream of a world free from discrimination and prejudice is one that resonates deeply in our hearts. Today is not just a day of remembrance but also a call to action. It urges each of us to examine our own lives, our communities, and the injustices that persist around us. We must embody Dr. King's teachings by promoting understanding, compassion, and love for one another.

Senator Steve Rhoads discussing how Republican state lawmakers want the MTA’s head honcho to resign after he brushed off New Yorker’s concerns about subway crime — as questions swirl over the flailing agency’s chaotic financial picture.

“We don’t have a perception problem,” Rhoads said. “Our commuters don’t have a perception problem. We have a deception problem. A deception problem on the part of the governor, a deception problem on the part of Janno Lieber.”

2-3 pm on LI News Radio 13.9 fm live from Long Island MacArthur Airport with Senator Steve Rhoads.

Several of those metaphorically calling for Janno’s head cited the transit chief’s New Year’s Eve publicity stunt celebrating the implementation of a phased-in $15 congestion pricing toll on driver…

When Ray Tierney first ran for District Attorney, he came to every Patriot Meeting, discussing major issues of crime with the community, and listening to the concerns. He made commitments to us back then — and he’s kept them.

Whether it’s standing up against violent crime, addressing the fentanyl epidemic, or leading Suffolk through landmark cases like the Gilgo Beach investigation, Ray has been a tireless advocate for justice.

An amazing party of his re-election announcement was hearing stories like that of Gene and Sue Murray, who lost their daughter to a fentanyl overdose. Ray didn’t just offer words of comfort; he took action, helping to champion “Chelsey’s Law” and proving that he genuinely cares about the people he serves.

Since those first days at Patriot meetings, we’ve supported him and it’s clear that Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney
has been a promise-keeper and a true leader for our community. We are so proud and grateful for his dedication and we support his continuous fight to make Suffolk County safer and stronger!
