Yesterday was . Say hello to Sonny. She is the old lady of our crew. At the age of 12 she still has some s***k in her. A little bit of trivia: she was named after Sonny With a Chance. Her nicknames include: Sonny Bun, Sonny Bunny, Old Lady, Grandma, and Granny; sometimes Bun Bun.

We took the boys to Southern Flavor in Cave Spring GA in June. It had been 7 years since we last went there to eat. The staff was super friendly and served us quickly. The food was even more scrumptious than we remembered it. The atmosphere and decor was so welcoming that it felt like coming home. We give it two thumbs up and will definitely be going back again.

It was Maddox's turn to pick a movie for family movie night. He chose Ralph Breaks the Internet for tonight. So, I made "Burger Time" Burgers and onion rings for lunch. We served it with some IBC root beer from Tappers, of course. Just waiting on Ralph and Vanellope to swing on by and get theirs. Candie and I have so much fun planned for the boys today. I can't wait.

In between time I am writing a crisis management plan, writing an essay, and studying for my final for class.

I tried my hand at making Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp. I made the sauce from scratch, nothing already made. I served it over jasmine rice. It turned out really good.

I am super excited to announce that book 2 of my series, Amelia and the Secret of Stoney Manor, is currently in review on Amazon Kindle Vella. I have given it a great deal of thought, and I want to release it on there first. It will most definitely be in paperback and hardback later on, but after y'all have been so patient, I wanted to get it out there so that you could read it. The cover for the book will be slightly different, but here is the cover reveal for Amelia and the Mystery of the White Wolf for Amazon Kindle Vella. The release date is within the next few days or so. It just depends on how long it takes them to review it.

Candie and I are excited to announce that we have joined forces to co-write a Kindle Vella series. It's called Teaching Simplified.

Between the two of us, we have 15 years of in-classroom teaching experience. We have done it all. We have been in every classroom age group daycare-wise. I have taught in Pre-K as well, and I am also a senior in college finishing my teaching degree. All those years and classes have given us tons of knowledge, and we would like to share it with other teachers. We know how frustrating coming up with lesson plans can be. That's why we have simplified it for you.

The first 3 episodes are FREE, and they break down the ins and outs of the classroom. Episode 4 kicks off our lessons with week 1 of Summer Camp! This particular series is targeted toward 3-year-old students. We will expand with other ages in the future. This one is a standard secular series. It's good for a public school, private school, or daycare environment. We have one in the works with a Biblical element to it as well as one for homeschool parents. We will share those soon.

We have included everything you can imagine in our lesson plans. It goes from the start of the day to the time children go home. We have not, personally, found another resource as thorough as this. We hope it helps you. We know that most schools are out for the summer, but daycares are still open, and this would be a great help for them. Please share with daycare workers that you know. If you like our series, please give this week's episode a thumbs up.

I just checked my email and found out that I made the Dean's List for spring semester. It felt like the hardest semester of my life but with God and support from family and friends I was able to do it!
